The helmet doesn’t look good to me either, looks like runny black paint on it or something.

The head could be better but it could live with it, I think they overdid the mud on his feet though. Different ones might have different levels of dirt

Looks sloppy. The muddy/dusty feet on the MK VII were perfect.
Black lines on mouth and chin are bad. Base looks awesome.

Iron Man mark 3 now with mud boots!!! The most power boot off all iron Man suits. It can shoot mud..

And as you implied regarding the trend, I was sort of expecting this anyhow.

I really like the statue etc, and I guess my 1/4 Hot Toy version will represent how a Mark 3 should be painted.

Yea, that's not acceptable. It's supposed to be a layer of dust, not a layer of mud. Wow ...that sucks!

If you're talking about the feet, I'm not sure it's possible with a simple touch up.

It'll have to be stripped and started again. At least where the feet are concerned.
