Based on the Hulk scene, it sounds like the "team" is tasked with trying to stop the Hulk, the scene sets up like Stark is proposing the team to Ross as a means to stopping the Hulk where Ross has failed.

Indeed...hence the Hulk buster:banana Hopefully we get to see
this suit in a movie.:D

What hulk scene?
I didn´t see IM2 yet, but I´m quite confused.
Hulkbuster, Hulk?
In IM2, or are you propsing to a future scene in Thor?

At the end of Incredible Hulk, Tony Stark walks into the bar that Gen. Ross is in and talks about the team they're putting together...and its not the A-Team. Well I guess it could be the A Team.

Certainly possible. The soldiers that went after Hulk in TIH were called "Hulkbusters" the term was never used outside of toys and credits but I could see Stark saying something like "That's not a Hulkbuster, this is." and then arriving on the scene in his huge suit.

A couple of notes from Favreau before you watch it. I'll put it in Spoilers just in case.

"If you look at the end of the ‘Incredible Hulk,’ you have Tony Stark saying, ‘Hey, I’m trying to recruit you for the Avengers Initiative,’ or whatever he says at the end of that one," said Favreau. "That clearly does not happen between ‘Iron Man’ and ‘Iron Man 2.’ That happens after ‘Iron Man 2.’"

However, and this is where the SPOILER WARNING really comes into play, there are some direct references to external events in "Iron Man 2" that seem to indicate activities far more important to S.H.I.E.L.D. than Tony Stark and his armor. At one point, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) mentions some "problems in the Southwest region" that he’s dealing with — which will likely perk up the ears of anyone familiar with Marvel’s plans.

"If you look at the screens, especially when you’re dealing with the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, you can start to see areas identified there," said Favreau of a few moments in which S.H.I.E.L.D. computers monitoring current events appear in the background of a scene. "There are little clues that are layered into graphics that relate to other films, other franchises in this world. You might want to look at it a few times or wait for the DVD."

Pay attention True Believers!

*Not reading, not reading, not reading*

Just came in to say the Tonight Show will have SIX Iron Man stars for the next 6 shows, starting tonight with Mickey Rourke! Thats 1 per night all next week and tonight! We should get some great clips between the 6 of them!

The other 5 are Favreau, ScarJo, Downey Jr., Sam Jackson, and Cheedle. :rock

I'm guessing Gweneth on Letterman? :dunno

Ahh came back from watching Iron Man 2 a couple of hours ago. I gotta say that it is a really really good film. Am not saying excellent as unfortunately they didn't push the boat out as much as I’d like them to...............

..........Review continues but has spoilers just incase u don't want to read ahead
In terms of character I believe that Whiplash defo had the least amount and therefore made the villan of the film weak and thats not good. Thankfully a second villain (kind of villain) as there in the form of Justin Hammer so it wasn't entirely good vs good where thers no real villan, as opposed to a good vs bad type of film. It’s just that you would think the film centres around Iron Man and Whiplash but it doesn’t as there’s so much going on but still the film holds it well enough to survive. Apart from that and how quick Whiplash died (which i thought was a load of crap after making him look so badass) the film really does come on par with the first Iron Man film. Not enough to surpass it even with so many new faces and characters, which is good for me cause its better than it being worse than the first Iron Man film.
Me and my friend were dying to go to the toilets after the film had finished but we wanted to see the ending easter egg so much that we waited it out....he was in a lot of pain lol. The ending easter egg is really well done to set up the upcoming Thor movie and is definitely worth the wait.....even if ur bladder is screaming !!!!

Got back about an hour ago. Saw it at IMAX. ____ing awesomeness. Don't give a ____ what the critics say. Saw, it loved, will be seeing it many more times. I have to say though, I felt the end battle scene was rushed. Other than that, it was brilliant. RDJ was great, Cheadle was great, Rourke was great, although he could have had more screen time. I wouldn't say it was better than the first, but it's still a great film. :rock

I know at the start of the Incredible Hulk, you see a report from Nick Fury that is a code Red on the search for Bruce Banner.

So I'm hoping Hulk will feature in the Avengers

Good to know, I can't wait to see this next week.

i have a quick question about the very end of hulk...

since tony isn't 100% in on the whole avengers thing by the end of iron man 2, and he doesn't really know much about it, does that imply the events of hulk, or at least that last scene where stark meets banner, are much later in the iron man movie storyline? it's probably a trivial question but i thought i might have missed something.

Stark doesn't meet Banner, he approaches General Ross. I believe the Mike has explained, apparently Hulk's "bonus" scene is the last along the way to Avengers, with the Iron Man scenes taking place earlier in the timeline.

This is correct, but I"m guessing at that point Stark had to at least heard of Hulk from the events in either of the movies. I haven't seen the particular scene in a while, but did Stark specifically mention what the team was being assembled for?? Or did he just say "We're putting a team together." ?
