Damn. Just looking at these pics is making me debate who to cancel so I can get this bad boy on Flexpay: Gambit or Sabretooth.

I'm leaning toward Sabretooth at the moment.

I would cancel furry pajama sabretooth. Gambit is awesome. Mine comes tomorrow! :yess:

would love to see some pics of this next to something 1/4 scale. at 17", does that mean it's more in scale with the cinemaquettes than the PF's?

He's not exactly standing straight up so you would have to take that into account.

No offense but it will still cost you another $1500 big ones and lack the dynamic pose. I guess some like stiff maquettes.

Why would I take offense to your opinion? LOL

Uh.. yeah. I know it's a $2k piece, hence why I said I'd put the $500 towards it.

1:2 > 1:4 scale anyday for me. That's not saying this 1:4 scale isn't badass whatsoever because I do love it for sure.

I just think the 1:2 is more imposing/commands more attention. Just my opinion.

It looks a real nice piece and I would love to own it. Sadly I'm not going to pay crazy import fees for it. $500, I dread to think what customs and excise would charge for it, could be at least £200.

Thanks for the pics! I'm glad I waited out for the in hand pics. Honestly not so impressed with it. And the thing is much too small for my tastes. But everything else besides the size and (for me the gold paint) the thing is awesome! The sculpt, pose, lights..man if that thing were at least 20 inches, I'm sold! Might still get it if it ever goes on sale. Can't deny that besides the issues I have with it, its still an amazing piece.

Its not the size that creates a excellent piece, its the attention to detail.

I wish I can bro but I got a wait list that got converted so a lil bit too tight to get it. Besides with such a high edition size I'm not worried. If I'm lucky I might even get it as a bday present. haha

I completely agree, but what can I say? I'm a size slut. The bigger the better for me. :p

Actually what creates a great piece depends on the eye of the beholder. What may appeal to you doesn't necessarily appeal to everyone else...and that's ok.

I think you may be over-analyzing this one. :lol

no, i'm not.

For those who are upset about the RT, Legacy gave the solid white piece because that was how they did it with their maquette and props.

I'm not the least bit upset. You're not supposed to be able to see the arc from the outside so this is them giving us movie accuracy.

the design in the film has a transparent glass plate with the arc reactor showing thru from inside. it is not a white opaque piece. that is done only to "simulate" the look of a lit-up reactor, so it is simply not accurate.

i know that's how the other pieces are done (even kotobukiya's) and i don't like those "interpretations" either.

Seems like some people just wanna rip on this statue just for the sake of moaning, but that isn't a surprise with this forum.

i don't know about "some people", but i sure wasn't ripping on this statue for the sake of moaning. my concerns are totally legitimate ones. it's not too much to ask for, all the more so due to the steep price point.

i really liked many other aspects of the maquette, but ultimately i didn't feel it was worth the asking price with what was being compromised. maybe i'll change my mind further down the line...

If you get it from SS then you'll have 5% VAT & £10 fedex fee, they class these as art so it's always 5% through fedex.

I bought the Vader bust 1:1 $1250 and only had £50 odd in fees and i've had another 7 or 8 statues from them at only 5% so don't worry about big fees if you order through SS to the uk. :)
