Thanks for the pics! I'm glad I waited out for the in hand pics. Honestly not so impressed with it. And the thing is much too small for my tastes. But everything else besides the size and (for me the gold paint) the thing is awesome! The sculpt, pose, lights..man if that thing were at least 20 inches, I'm sold! Might still get it if it ever goes on sale. Can't deny that besides the issues I have with it, its still an amazing piece.
I just measured it, it's totally 19 inches tall instead of the misleading 17 inches. Not too small indeed.

Thanks for the heads up on the measurement Yatyau :hi5:

That means it will be taller than the Gambit PF and War Machine SHOULD be 19.5-20 inches tall.

Gambit's base is 1.5 inches. So that's 18.5 inches without the base's height.

That would make him 6'2 in true height. They made him just a little bit taller than he should be but then again his hair does add some height to it so... you know what, never mind I'll just leave it at 18.5 inches. :lol

EDIT: I just re-measured and the base is actually a little bit over 1.5" and closer to 1.75". I measured from Gambit's foot to his hair and it was just about 18 inches.

Urgh?!! I got my measuring tap with my Gambit Ex PF. The base is 1.5 inches. Even if you measure from the ground to the top of the base(including the circular cushion under the base), its not 1.75'' or close. Maybe 1.5'' + 1/8''. And from the foot to the top of his hair is like 1/8 inch shy of 18.5 inches. Originally, I use SS's height of 20 inches to conclude 18.5 inches(minus the base of 1.5 inches).

According to Marvel's bios on Gambit...he's 6'1''. So its accurate to me.

As for IM 2 Mark VI, I am sure he's at 1/4 scale and a nice piece. I don't know the full stats and don't care. I like him enough but not enough to pay that price. I canceled the Ex awhile back to get this Gambit PF Ex and the coming Rogue PF EX.

You went all out :lol

Must be my measuring tape or I'm just not looking at it closely enough. Sorry to keep going over this with you Mr. Green. :monkey1

Gorgeous piece. I think the in hand pics look even beter then the promo shots. But I agree with many others on this thread that the size of this piece does not justify the $500.00 price point. Like most Legacy pieces they seem to take the value and add 50% to that for the Legacy name. Then again if they sell out more power to them. At the end of the day these things are only worth what we are willing to pay for them.

I just keep thinking that given the ES of this piece there are going to be plenty floating around in the secondary market. While not a financial issue, I just can't bring myself to pay $500 for this piece. I don't know what it is....I like this piece, I just don't like it enough to pony up $500.

That's exactly how I feel as well.
Even though I'd love an IM that's not "blue" (SIM),I don't feel it's worth paying $200 more for it. I'm thinking about either having a repaint for SIM or to wait for this one to come by for a good price on secondary market.

It's actually 19 inches measured by Yatyau :monkey3

Coming real close to my magic number. THanks for the measurements Yatyau....making me real tempted. haha

guys it's really baffling. many freaks would pay $600 for the IM comiquette and many were speculating how much this piece would cost when the promo pics first appeared. why all this shock now when faced with a $500 tag?

I think $500 seems fair for this piece with the awesome sculpt and base.

and @ freak zombie - bro dun hesitate this piece may not go up in price but it will sell out in our sunny island of Singapore. act while u can :)
