I still think that XMs pieces look very good, and that people will gravitate towards them still, but yeah if SSC can get it done it will drive Andy MAD!!!! He won't know where to look...lol

XM is awesome but when it comes to movie accurate sculpts of the highest quality.... we all know who holds that belt. Especially at their price point. Can't really see a lot of peeps going to XM for their movie IM statues

Its nice to have these mini battles starting. It will make them all better in the long run

Well I do wonder if xm's mkvii was partly due to igo announcing a flying mkvii months before. Xm wanted to rush the market for sure.

anyhow, xm has a lock for magneto, antman and thanos unless ssc does a 1up. I could see it happening for thanos... but not seeing it for antman and magneto.

I mean holy hell... antman. I never though I'd see the day.

If XM starts making their stuff readily available in the states and their quality is good, they could really put up some great competition for SSC. As collectors, this would be AWESOME for us. It would force SSC to stop their price hikes and up their QC(although the last few I've gotten have been great).

btw, still on the fence about this piece...i really want it but im debating whether to get it on SSC's site or from my local LCS.

If you live in the states it's pretty much a no brainer to get the Legacy/SS versions of Iron Man, but those who live in Asia, XM allows them to get a really good version also without having to pay through the nose for it.

If SS can come through on the QC on these Legacy pieces to make them look like the prototypes then it will defiantly be a home run, but with that said SS has not always had great success with (non-legacy) movie statues especially in the likeness department. So it defiantly leaves the door open to other companies if they can nail the likeness factor of movie statues. Also are these IM statues going to be Open Editions like the Legacy Hulk?
