But,let's say your light up function stop working tomorrow,I don't think SideShow would take it back...I would wait the "30 days" before doing any mod.

:lol:lol that's saying alot, assuming ssc would notice anything at all. it's already been shown that they don't even reinspect faulty pieces that have been sent back to them.

I've got mine from the first batch shipped. Still one of the better ones I've seen. I must say I've been very lucky!

Looking good guys! Congrats! :hi5:

I am in the process of sending mine back for a refund. It was very hard to do. Didn't want to take a risk on next one. I guess the next step is to cancel WM Maquette. Also going to be very hard to do. :( Oh well, you win some and you lose some.

I got mine and I did see a few flaws and imperfections. The chin was fine and the light up function works just fine.

But to tackle the few flaws, I cleaned alot of the paint slops by Sideshow and repainted it myself. I also cleaned all the battle scratches that Sideshow did and re-did it myself.

There were gaps on the face plate, so I filled the gap with putty, sand it down a little and re-painted the gold.

The re-paint and fixing job on the Iron Man is done and the next step is to put grass texture on the base for a more realistic grass look.

I will post more pics once the base is done, but for now enjoy the pictures of my Iron Man Mk. VI, to be honest I am happy with it after all the touch ups, repaint and fixing job. YAY !

Stay tune !

Now That's battle damage, not paint chips and a visibly brushed chin. Bravo, well done!

After being stuck in France for 6 six days due to all the airports in the UK being shut by the heavy snow fall, my replacement finally arrived on Christmas Eve.
Having Seen all the reports of refurbed pieces being sold as new, and some of the so called second batch statues being even worse than the first, I was preparing myself for the worst as I slid the polystyrene packing from the cardboard box, peeled away the QC tape and gingerly lifted the lid.

But thank the almighty god of collectables... I've been blessed with a good one! Woo Hoo!! :blissy

No paint marks on the chin, no breaks or chips, no major paint problems. Even the lights all work! Although I had to wiggle the batteries around a bit first.

Yes, under close inspection the paint job could be a bit better in places, but given the problems others have had, I'm more than happy with this one. :yess:

Of course this would all mean nothing without pics so without further ado...

Does this mean I've forgiven Sideshow.... Hell No!

When you're paying this sort of money for a high end collectable it should never be a lottery as to whether you get an acceptable piece.

This whole thing has been a complete shambles if you ask me and makes Sideshows Quality control seem like an absolute joke. If it even exists at all.
I'm keeping my order for War Machine as I would hope that it's more simplistic paint scheme has much less potential for failure.

Nevertheless, my confidence in Sideshow has been seriously shaken...
