Well I have made my decision, you are NOT getting my money SS.

____ this, seriously!!!!

:lol:lol:lol

I guess the question I have now is what should SS have done? These statues aren't like a lot of other products we typically buy at Wal-Mart. If the statues had problems and people opened them, saw the flaw and returned them, are they considered "used"? My story wasn't to get people upset but just to see what the common thinking is. If SS gets a statue back, fixes the flaw, and then sells it again at full price do we as consumers take issue with that? Should they sell it as "refurbished"? Or do we expect them to destroy it and make us a completely new one?

well first, they should not have had such a high ES, second, the head sculpt should have been completely re done cause the chin thing is horrible. It looks like it would have been better for them to cast different pieces individually and paint them as they put it together cause the lines are really bad on a lot too, and some spaces on the statue look really sloppy. This has a lower success rate than the IM bust :dunno

I have decided to sent mine back for a refund instead of a replacement. I just don't want to go through the process of sending another back. I will be canceling my War Machine EX Maquette as well, because what is the point to having one but not the other. this makes me sad, because this could of been a great statue. It could of been one of the best statues for this year, but it falls short to a lot of paint flaws. :(

I would think that fixing them and sending them back out as new is fine. With that said, just reselling as new when there is a know problem and obvious defect is criminal at this price point

No that's NOT FINE at all,in this case they need to be cheaper and be sold as REFURBISHED.

Not as new like they are advertising. This is fraud.

I got mine and I did see a few flaws and imperfections. The chin was fine and the light up function works just fine.

But to tackle the few flaws, I cleaned alot of the paint slops by Sideshow and repainted it myself. I also cleaned all the battle scratches that Sideshow did and re-did it myself.

There were gaps on the face plate, so I filled the gap with putty, sand it down a little and re-painted the gold.

The re-paint and fixing job on the Iron Man is done and the next step is to put grass texture on the base for a more realistic grass look.

I will post more pics once the base is done, but for now enjoy the pictures of my Iron Man Mk. VI, to be honest I am happy with it after all the touch ups, repaint and fixing job. YAY !

But,let's say your light up function stop working tomorrow,I don't think SideShow would take it back...I would wait the "30 days" before doing any mod.

Oh I agree but at the same time this piece is $500 and I should have to fix it!

That is very true
and shame on Sideshow on their part for failing to deliver a product that should meet standards

I wanna work for them in the QC department now
