Yeah, I'm amazed at some of the backstories that I hear with some of these collectors.
To all you who on this piece would you say this statue is worth blowing $600 RP on??? I was saving my RP for something big i have $1200 currently but I'm starting to think it would better just to buy 2 statues instead of one big legendary or 1/2 scale one. My only reservation with this Cap statue is the pose, i hate statues that look downwards, i have so many of them and only so many high display spots. Would placing this statue on the 2nd level of Besta diminish its display or would it be high enough to see his face and not just the A on this Helmet

I think he's absolutely worth using RP to get free if you can. I was so mad when I missed the AoU version so when IS announced this one I was pretty stoked.
I have him on a top shelf and he does look best there but here are some photos of how he looks on the top and middle shelves of a Besta. Ignore the phone quality lol

I'm not a big statue collector but I'd been looking for a nice Captain America one for a while. I almost ordered the Winter Soldier PF until I watched some videos of it on YouTube. That changed my mind not to bother with that, but I saw the videos of the Age of Ultron Cap statue and the Iron Man that Iron Studios did earlier. Those both are easily a thousand and up each. IMO this is the best face sculpt of Chris Evans in a statue version I've seen, second to a Hot Toys sculpt. I have mine on top of a dresser in a spare bedroom for now til I can find a place that'll work better. I have the Iron Man pre-ordered too, which has been delayed til winter. Now after having this a week I'm trying to figure a way to get the other four without robbing a bank! Lol! So to answer your question I think you would be satisfied getting it.

The detail on this is amazing. If you want a 1/4 accurate looking Evans Cap do it now before you can't. Use the remaining points on the IS Vader, it is likely to drop in August.

Nice pics. These photos make me realize how ***** I installed my Besta doors. I need to get someone out to fix them. Some of my doors are crooked.
Easy fix for someone who knows how to use a power drill....I am not one of those people.

I almost wanna see what it looks like facing the Iron Man statue but it might be sold out by then...

Can't speak for other collectors but I own 2 WS as I liked it so much. Blown away by the portrait and detail. And Cap with Bucky look so perfect I ordered another Cap. Shield is plastic as are Falcon wings, I think the surface of some of the bases, some of the pipes. It's not cheesy flimsy plastic tho, it feels solid. I was tapping the base with my nails to see what was plastic and what not. Beautiful paint job.
These are heavy pieces. I personally would not use a glass shelf.
PS. Iron Studios will be at SDCC so hope to see some footage from their booths or lucky people can see in person.

I don't think you will regret it, honestly. This is a truly beautiful Cap. IMO sets a high bar for what a 1/4 scale production piece can be.

I was referring to the Sideshow Captain America The Winter Soldier premium format figure of Cap in the stealth suit. I should've been clearer as to which WS I was talking about. Apologies. I think the IS Winter Soldier looks great and would love to own one.

I saw it at a local store and it took my breath away, and I wasn't sure if there was some other issue with it that made people stay away, but I just misread your post.
Are there any photos of Bucky w/ Cap? Or Cap facing Iron Man?

Love this IS Cap but I would buy another IS Cap if they did that pose. One thing I like about this fig (besides going so well w. the WS) is that shield is front and center. But I'd love a shield toss fig because of the classic shot from the First Avenger with the fire in the background, of Cap tossing the shield.
I really wish SSC would sell any licenses it has for 1/4 TWS to Iron Studios, if they are never going to remake Cap or make TWS Cap or Widow. Or work out some kind of deal.

I would too! I just ordered the Winter Soldier. I was afraid once Comic-con starts and folks see these on display they'll all sell out. I think these have flown under the radar.

This is actually a pretty nice look at lot of their 1:4th pieces (also gives another decent look at the Weapon X piece.). Not sure how I missed it before, but thanks for sharing.

WS is gorgeous
. LOL my favorite MCU character, but still IMO a remarkable sculpt, stellar detailing. IMO just looks amazing alone and even better with Cap. Had him for a while now and still blown away (tho that's true for Falcon and BP too!)Or - I wouldn't have gotten two WS and waiting on Cap #2 if these sucked

Too true these pieces have been under the radar and IMO Iron Studios PR isn't extensive (outside Brazil?)But I was worried Cap would sell out re SDCC, so wanted to get Cap #2 in the door. And, there's all that media talk from Kevin Feige about the changes coming in the MCU. I feel like I'm living through a kind of Golden Age of comic films/interest with the first MCU phases
. It's been such a ride. But that means Cap as I've known him - and connected with a favorite film - will never be made like this again (e.g. maybe re the costume and connection to Civil War). And not Bucky, or Falcon, or IM or even BP.So for me these are going to be valued permanent display pieces. Been worth all the *angst* and money. Every penny.
