Good luck on the return request.

But is it really that bad? Isn't it possible to pull out the peg and re adhere it to the boot? And the bottom of the boot, is well the bottom of the boot.

I tried. I feel if I pull any harder I could damage the base. But my main concern is the boot. See around the peg hole it just doesn't look right. Like a patch job maybe.

From your pics see what you mean. Not like I have a lot of pieces but I've had pegs stuck in bases and just fixed - but had to wiggle my Cap in at a certain angle and I HAVE pivoted him a bit, a few times, on the base to take pics or to fit with Bucky. E.g. whether I place the back foot at the middle of the upper stair or slightly to the side so Bucky's foot isn't banging into Cap's.

I think Cap was designed to be able to do that on purpose. Which you couldn't do. SSC told me in e-mail when I started getting IS pieces and asked some questions that they were checking each and every piece before shipping:monkey3 (I don't believe that re Cap, my Cap the box tape looked too pristine:cuckoo:) and to contact them immediately if there was any issue. So IMO they should do right by you!!!

I have Cap #2 coming in - hope no issue:panic:. But I already have a perfect Cap, so I may or may not be a bit tolerant of stuff. Depending.:horror:(

Got Cap today... Overall he is very awesome... The sculpt on the clothing is amazing. My wife and son thought it was material.

Only issue is the eyes on mine are a bit off.. I don't know if it's worth complaining... It does not look as bad in person and my wife thought it looked like Chris Evens eyes because she thinks his right eyelid droops a bit more then his left. Of course this is more of an issue then droopy eye.. :lol

what do you guys think? Keeper or complain?

Looks great to me. I love this statue so much that I ordered another since my last one had peg issues. Hoping the new one is fine. I don't want to miss out like I did the AoU version.

I actually don't even see an issue with it.

My opinion - if everything else is perfect and he looks good at what your normal viewing distance is I would keep. One of my WS has 2 blotches where the painted lid line got blobby. From a few inches away you can't tell. And because there's a review on Ultron Cap I saw where there was a casting error and that can't be fixed. But you could have the eyes fixed.

But I would email Sideshow with pictures and ask for a courtesy coupon $25 or higher. To pay for fixing the eye (whether you do or not). Sideshow's been pretty good about that when I have had a problem. Ask for a coupon or credit you can use on anything with a wide date range. IMO you should get something for that... they are handing out 30$ popup SDCC coupons right now anyway online.

I am sorry you had ANY issue but past that I guess it is what really bothers you, or not. But it's not googly eyes with the pupils going in different directions.

His head might be at angle on the statue as well, so straight on it may look weird but on the statue it may look right.

True. Both Cap and Bucky are not looking straight ahead e.g. they don't have that flat stare look. So the lens of the eyes are done differently to have that expressive look. I was a bit miffed at my WS #2 eye paint blobs but after setting him up realized on the shelf I'm not looking at him in strong light from an inch away normally. Now I have to go looking at the both of them to see which one had the issue.

Which is fixable anyway.

I know a great argument can be made that at these prices stuff should be utterly flawless and we all want that, but for me I figure with production work re this dio so far it seems compared to some of the horror stories I've read re 1/4 scale and even 1/2 and life size:horror, IS has really come through with Cap and this dio. Just hope my Cap #2 is OK:horror, he is almost sold out at SSC.

5 down, one more to go....hafta say IM makes a spectacular effect:love

I agree it looks a little off but that is at a very close distance - personally, I don't think I'd complain about it.

Really hope in the end everyone ends up happy with Cap. I did get lucky again today (after waiting all day for the truck...:cuckoo:). But it was worth it. Re Cap #2 - well, another beautiful piece and for all practical purposes, flawless. The worst I can say is there is a sort of less-than-a-hair-width streak of glue right in the A that I couldn't possibly see if I hadn't been taking pictures. On one knee a small patch where the paint is the tiniest bit pooled.

Consistent - this Cap #2 might have a bit more weathering than the other. And that's it. And there is the faintest paint whiff from being in a hot truck all day which is already gone. It wasn't bad anyway - not like the eye-watering fumes from cheap furniture:monkey3.

So overall the worst things I've had with this line is an almost invisible water spot on a WS, a bit of eye line thickness on the same, and BP's claws didn't line up perfectly in the scratches (I think I can fix that).

Don't know what else to say since I've been raving over these pieces:monkey3 but d@mn they are gorgeous and this is a stunning Cap:clap:clap:clap. And for those waiting I really hope you end up impressed (and grab Cap before he's gone!)

Cell phone pics (these pieces deserve better, WHENEVER I can get the camera out)

It's like having this moment frozen in time on the shelf from a stellar film.:love

Yeah there is nothing to really complain about with this piece. If you like the pics you will love this when you have it In hand.

I tend to go for Comic versions but Evens is so great as the character and the suit is awesome so it helped push me to get this piece. I love that the shield is on full display. It is what makes it just a bit better then the AOU version... But that one looks to be just about perfect in every other way also.

Love this piece and very happy with it. Will have to get some photos. I find he displays well with the latest Spidey PF also.

Great ! I'm happy he showed up safely and you're pleased with him! Congrats!!!! Now we wait for Iron Man! LOL!!!

I'd go for a replacement head Jaws. That would drive me nuts but I have little tolerance for eyes that are 'off'. I can put up with other minor things, but not that. At least send them a photo of yours and a photo of someone elses to show them and give it a shot.

Thanks Ursusntn:)! Yeah, for me it's always nerve-wracking LOL opening that box, and poor Cap was so warm he had been on that truck all day!:horror

I'm looking forward to some in-hand pics of Iron Man - or maybe not, *my poor wallet*.:lol Because outside of just being a stellar piece, IM will just really show well on a shelf.

Couple of caps from Insta IS store video (I gotta get some LED lights, I like the blue light on BP!)

Think IM and Cap will display well togther.

And I *forgot* about little Antman. But he came in great too. Perfectly painted and even has texture in his suit if you look. Plastic, but that is OK he is perfect. Perfectly painted it's *insane*. He's not cheesy. For now I tend to keep him in a cabinet so I don't lose him.:horror

BTW you can see the detail of the "metalwork" here - "rust" around the stair bolts - gorgeous :love

The Ant-Man is so cool! I've compared him to the ones that came with the Hot Toys CW figures. I think the IS is a little more detailed but he seems a little bigger too. When I open my WS the smell was incredibly overwhelming! The temp here that day was close to 100 degrees too.

I've been thinking about that, I'd love to see a battle with Thanos scene. The diorama they've done for Guardians 2 with the tentacle creature looks pretty good.

Yea that's only 1/10.

I'm hoping for more 1/4 statues or dios like this one. I would probably fill half of my shelves with IS Avengers if they keep the QC up.
