I'd go for a replacement head Jaws. That would drive me nuts but I have little tolerance for eyes that are 'off'. I can put up with other minor things, but not that. At least send them a photo of yours and a photo of someone elses to show them and give it a shot.
Well I got my second Civil war Cap and his base is wobbly and the peg can out of his foot just like with my last one.
Looks like I'm not having any luck
The sculpt is fantastic and Magnets are strong. His peg foot doesn't sit flush with the base but pretty close. Might have to return another one.
wow that sucks. did SS actually inspect and test fit the replacement before mailing it out?
Haha that's a good one. Don't think I'll attempt to get a third one. Pretty bummed because I liked this piece.
Seems like they sent you the same statue you returned back, what are the odds of getting a new statue with the exact same problem. They did that to me with dark Phoenix pf, the supposed new replacement had the exact same problem as the one I returned. in your case, I don't know if it was intentional but in my case I believe they did it on purpose because there is a design flaw with that statue which causes it to turn, the peg is smaller then the hole adding a bit of tape fixes it though
I ordered another one before I sent the first one back. My first one is still in transit to SS and I got my new one today. So that's how I know
Plus different numbers of course. My old Base didn't wobble like this either.
Your pics aren't bad. If the paint apps and sculpt are flawless I'd just keep it. That little 1/8" separation isn't worth another exchange since you could always get one with worse flaws.
Yea that's what I'm thinking. I'll take some natural light photos this weekend. Everything else is a 10. I'm probably just being OCD.
I know a lot of people frown upon having to do this (sometimes just out of principle), but you 'may' be able to adjust the peg hole with tools in order to make the foot sit flush.
If the peg itself wasn't stuck in the base then yes. But I can't even get Cap off of the base right now as it seems stuck.

IMO not OCD...don't like statues not sitting flush (or googly eyes). Both my Caps needed gentle coaxing to seat themselves flush. Gently taking his weight up and using the tiniest movement to sort of wiggle or coax that foot down, but keeping hold until he settles. It's a tight fit but neither of my pegs had come out. At one point I was thinking of using a bit of soap or something.
Am sorry you had that issue AGAIN. Hope he will settle on his own, I have had that happen.
How crazy is that to get two with the same issue... That sucks. I guess it depends on where you are displaying it though as that issue does not look all that noticeable.
Right. I bought the second one before sending the first back to ensure I got a different one.
It's not that big a deal but it bothers me. I just don't like that the peg came off both Cap's so easily. Might have to call it in with this one.
Everything else is fantastic on it though.
My first was number 134 and this is number 62 for anyone wondering.
Mine didn't go into the opening easily at first either. I turned Cap into the slot several times and he went into it much easier. He sits on the base flush , plus I've had him turned several different angles before my WS arrived. I hope he will settle in on his own, maybe from his weight. If he looks good otherwise I might not try to exchange him.
I had exactly the same issue until I understood that the cap had to be im a certain position to let the feet fit perfectly, did you try to rotate your cap with the peg in?
