Interesting. Just curious, why is everyone getting 2 of him?
Re the foot issue - speaking for my two Caps - besides having to carefully seat him re the peg angle, no problems. Esp. since I had to take Cap #2 apart to move him down some stairs closer to the in-work-display. He re-assembled just fine. I just slowly ease him in holding the weight, and watch the back foot isn't too pivoted e.g. stair center. Then may pivot him a bit so the back foot doesn't bang into WS front foot - depending. Is a tight fit tho.
For myself wasn't planning two, originally. I'll duplicate especially favorite pieces (if funds allow) re: 1) Displays in different locations. Rare for me but at times it's irritating to have to be in a certain room to be able to look at my favorite stuff. I bought it, wanna be able to enjoy it.
2) Kind of an insurance
. These pieces are low edition. Life happens.
3) Re Cap - LOL for me like WS. Shows up and it's just a gorgeous Cap. So impressed. Put him with Bucky and a great WS gets even better
. And for me these two are kind of the "easiest to handle" too. Cap and Bucky are "compact-ish" (for me) vs. Falcon and Panther. Love the whole Cap/Bucky arc (bonded brothers) in movies and comics.
IMO the two pieces are ridiculously perfect representations of a film I love (re-watching tonight!) as well as comic book icons. Spectacular sculpts esp. the faces which seem so hard for companies to do for any "human" character. So I needed Cap #2 to go with WS #2.
For me these pieces have been a splurge for sure
. No regrets. If I could I'd get 2 of the whole dio
. These pieces IMO are very special. No telling who will what make what in the future either. To be honest I didn't care for anything from Iron Studios at SDCC 2017 and a lot from other companies. That's OK I could use a break $$$$
. (But then I read about less polystone factories and all that too. I wonder if we will see more and more outright plastic....
)
And this is a seriously beautiful Cap
. I mean if you're going to stare at a depiction of the human form, WS, Cap, Falcon, BP are pretty mind-blowing. The lines of the bodies, the textures, the folds and twisting of "cloth", even the dusting of dirt on the feet. For me the only thing that could be better would be the same sculpt with the classic shield toss pose that SSC used and for WS to be in assassin gear. Maybe for IW?
