I ordered mine. 1300 is a great number for a ES. I miss the days of a low or moderate number ES from SS

Sarcasm aside, how would your suggestion not be the best possible thing? God forbid anyone buy something for the enjoyment of the actual art and not for future profits or the desire to feel special due to owning a limited piece. How terrible.

I'm at the point where I need to sell items if I want something new, due to a packed display room.

I don't buy for investment but would like to, at least, get my money back when selling to buy new stuff.

I've just posted in the 'Fake' thread that I just missed out on an auction last night only to discover he's selling recasts. Should I just buy one and 'appreciate the art'?
Nearly £1k on a worthless piece of pretty polystone :(

The FB post said worldwide. I'm guessing Iron Studios doesn't want another Captain America ES issue. Just think this time it will truly be 1300 worldwide total. I think Sideshow is just part of that number and don't have thier own run.

Come on. That's completely different, and there is no way you don't know that.

As to your point, I understand that completely, but then just don't buy this statue. I don't think it's something to be incessantly whined about as some others here do. Either, yes, appreciate the art and not worry about the future, or buy something else that can maybe give you money back if need be, though there's no guarantee of that for anything. No one is forcing anyone to buy anything. That's all I'm saying.

The fact that there is an overabundance of statues being made by multiple companies at an accelerated price and ES is growing larger is a sign of a hobby that is at its possible ceiling. Everything else after that points to a forecast of decline. To try and buy as leverage for something down the line is risky. The higher the price the worse the investment. Simple Economics means supply equals demand. Investing now is investing in your collection. I've switched my philosophy to investing in my favorite character and waiting for some of the hot items to decrease over time. I have done so with sports cards, comics, toy lines, etc for years. I'd say now this hobby is in line with what is hot right now. Sure the classics will be the Babe Ruth's ie the SSC Doom and will retain value.

This piece will depend on the success of the company. It is going to be a great standalone Spidey piece job matter how people spin it.

"He makes my back hurt looking at it no human can twist their body like that!"
He's Spider-Man. He can twist his body like that. Just because you can't doesn't mean he cant. He's. Spider. Man. You know... the most agile freaky hero of all time.

"The ES is scaring me it can change"
K. It's an art piece. It looks amazing. Comment on the statue. Not yourself. Or your space. Or your economic ability as to why it's not a good art piece.

"The SSC Spidey is the best Spidey. The comiquette. The original PF. The new PF. Not a fan of this one because I have a Spidey."
OK. That's cool. You have a Spidey. Or two Spideys. Don't crap on this piece because you need to crap on it to validate your own Spidey.

"The base is too busy. It swallows Spidey. Can't focus on Spidey."
Remember when people bitched about lack of bases? Remember the great Dios that SSC created? How everyone praises XMS bases as reason why it is worth their purchase? Now all of a sudden a base is "too busy"? SSC made a Daredevil statue of him running. XM just created a Thor base that lacks any creativity. Lazy.

This thread took a hit when people got a great SSC Spidey. And then landslides into statue politics on how to crap on an art piece to.protect a statue investment.

This is the definitive Spidey piece and something I haven't seen since SSC did the dio of him and Hulk. The detail.of the suit, the dio base, the pose, it jumps right out.of the comics.

I liked this thread when it was about this statue and not the self centered investment of individuals who are looking to further their personal investment on whether or not they should or should not own this piece.

This piece is insane.

1300 isn't really a Large Number when it come's to Spider-Man.
As long as it turns out like the Statue shown, this will be a Very Desirable Piece!
I personally can't wait to see how Massive & Complex this piece really is in person!

Any guesses on when this will get waitlisted on SSC?
