That's not the most flattering angle, I agree. Overall, I dig the mask design for this piece. It reminds me of the art style used for the old Spider-Man PS1 game. Yes! this has also arrived at a Australian retailer.

So hopefully I should have mine by Friday.

Looks like I'll be receiving a batch of other statues which have been out in the USA for awhile but only arrived today (sort of). Two SS pieces, 3 Prime 1 pieces and this great IS piece all on the same day!

Is it that Iron Studios doesn't provide replacement parts or the usual Sideshow doesn't have them?

Because I went through my local retailer (I don't believe Sideshow was the wholesaler at the time) and they were able to get a replacement shield for my 1/4 Cap. Took a bit of time, but eventually got it. And I believe someone here mentioned getting a full replacement base for one of their 1/4 IS statues.

I think the no replacement parts is overblown. It's basically no different than Sideshow. They run out of replacements and then they're done. They won't make new parts. Anyway, as far as IS, I have had no problems with the other pieces I own from them so I hope the streak continues.

NO!! Unless SSC has insisted that IS make some replacement parts for the statues sold through SSC, IronStudios makes ONLY the parts for their individual statues and NOTHING more. Retailers and customers have been stuck with shattered bases and statues from IS. Their latests batches of Iron Man statues have had a consistent leg brake issue and NO one is getting replacements the just don't do it. This isn't nearly the same thing as SSC. So unless SSC insisted on additional pieces people are screwed.

As much as I know Riccardo is an amazing guy, with IS crappy QC and CS the only way I could be confident buying one of their pieces would be with the backing of SSC.

They do great work for the most part but their CS and packaging is garbage when compared to SSC.

YES!!!!! See? I can do that too. I know a number of people who got replacements or repairs, and they didn't come from the replacement fairy.

The new Iron Man issue is because they just don't have the parts, as I said. Besides, as long as the customer gets a refund, there's really not much to argue about.

Did they order from SSC, which would be hard since this is the first statue through them. Because every person I have heard from in every forum I am a part of, and that is a lot, has been denied replacements the from Iron Studios when they had issues and they have been told that no replacements were made. I haven't heard of a single one until now.

As you said, SSC hasn't distributed until now. If you look right above my original comment someone mentions receiving a replacement. Frankly, I think they recycle broken statues as replacements, but I don't know that for sure and is purely my speculation. Either way, they do replacements up to a point. I have also heard of them willing to do repairs if shipped to them. I don't know how much more you can ask. I know you love SS, Spidey, but just as many people get a raw deal from them.

And in those Facebook groups, all I see are whiny people who can't get over themselves. If they have a problem with their dealer making them pay return shipping for a broken statue, they should have purchased elsewhere or complain about the retailer. That is not Iron Studios' fault. Everyone feels so entitled these days, especially Americans spoiled by Amazon. I admit they spoil me too, but try to find other retailers with as liberal customer policies.

IS didn't have replacements for Cap bc my base was damaged so I had to glue it. Can't tell its broken but not everyone is as fortunate. I could be wrong but I don't believe IS was offering full refunds for Cap.
