You mean for WS? Yep, and have one on Cap as well. I'll take a hit if I had to bail on these, but had faith based on Ultron Cap and IM. More worried about the paint than anything.

Yeah, I would stick it out. I'm sure it'll all work out.

Well, based on the protos and rather fuzzy factory pics. I'll put these few images up, probably been up before:slap, since there are so few and/or IS has IMO terrible marketing. At least Knowhere Collectibles put some good images up from XXCP and these *seem* to be in-hand figs. Bucky looks so good just w. Falcon I'd really like to know about the wing issues (and thought SSC said there were paint problems too?)

From IS concept store/*someone's* pics - well, they give an idea of the figs, anyway. Course these are protos. Jeez, they look good:love tho$$$$:horror. Makes me want to fly to Brazil and go to Knowhere Collectibles and start throwing money.:lol

Black Panther and Falcon is out in Australia. I've paid for both, but Popcultcha hasn't shipped them out to me yet. I'm expecting them hopefully by Friday next week.

The only 'issues' that I see with Black Panther are the ones already noted on the prototype. That being that not all the silver parts are painted on the head. And when comparing it to some movie photos of the headsculpt I don't believe all the mesh like details on the head are there.

And like the Hot Toys figure the silver 'necklace' is not as flush to the body as it should be. But at least there won't be bad paint app this way.

I didn't even notice the necklace concerns. I wouldn't even let that phase you.

This is just a darn good looking statue.

If I could I'd seriously write a check. The more I look at BP the more I like. Always thought there's a terrific aliveness in these pieces. And the many pics of the 1/10s all seem to have great paint as well as the 1/4s. Wonder re the necklace (on the HT as well) could be gently warmed and reshaped. For me not an issue - BP does look amazing!

I think what's fortunate for collectors of this one is this looks to be one of the 'definitive' BP pieces, meaning if you have this, this may be all you need of him. Great pose. Great look. Timeless, despite being from a movie.

Totally agree with this. IS for me - whatever issues they may have - seems to have some incredible sculptors and designers. It's the timelessness of these pieces (thanks for that) that have me willing to pay what they're asking, and their sense of movement. For me this BP has a sense of coiled, stalking, energy that got captured. For me at the moment, it's less 1/6 in favor of these more expensive, but spectacular, artworks re the budget.

Plus, although logically IS may generate more figures for IW, for me CW is where BP was introduced, first time on film, and the intro IMO was beautifully handled - not just shoehorned in because it'd be cool.

I agree with your decision about transitioning to 1/4th. It's such a great size, and commands such presence without stepping over that size limit that will ultimately end up consuming all space before you know it (ie. 1/3 and 1/2). Hot Toys is such a great company, but it's just not something I could go back to.

In theory re space/funds limitations, I'm either *attempting* to collect my favorite representations of characters or entire arcs. I'd really have to think hard about a 1/2 size anything unless it's a bust - and some things will be out of reach re the cost (not whining, that's just life:cool:).

But I WILL whine that no-one who visits this IS store EVER seems to get good pics of team Cap protos - don't know if it's the angle they are displayed at or just *selfish* LOL (WS *may* drop in February. Or March. Or April....). Anyway, more store proto pics from unsung heroes.....

Edit: Well, finally, more in-hand pics (#quarterscale on Insta!) Hmm - seeing these - well, re Falcon and Black Panther, I'd order, no question. Won't post any more images like these (unless really spectacular stuff) and time to wait for real reviews - also FINALLY huge kudos to Radsack Prime who has quick, but excellent vids of CCXP 2016 dios up of Team Cap and Team IM:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap. Taken through glass, but awesome.

I just got this statue today, and though I find 1/4 Falcon to be a more impressive statue, this statue is still a piece I would recommend to add to anyone's movie statue collection etc.

It does however have a few minor things that I would have preferred had be done differently.

Though the sculpt and texturing is great, the scale of the piece appears to be on the large size? As the head/helmet appears to be quite large relative to other 1/4 pieces.... heck it even dwarfs the head of the 1/4 Iron Studios Falcon that I assembled after this one.

I wish that to go along with the great texturing, that there was more varation in the black paint. Currently it's pretty much two tonned, or rather mostly a matte black, with various parts glossed up to create various breaks in the costume....

And as I stated in my Falcon post, there are parts of the paint app on the base that I dislike. In particular where the rock structure has been sheared/broken, the paint app looks a bit cheap to me. The front on part of the base is perfectly fine and the pipes etc actually add to the effect.

As discussed previously, the silver necklace isn't as flush to the body as I would like, and a few silver assents on the headsculpt haven't been painted (as per the prototype - so we all knew what we were getting).

I love the simple pose of the piece, and the connection between the statue and the base with BP's claws scratching/pulling at the base.

IMG_1915.JPG I just noticed something funny/annoying, in that the box art has the correct/missing silver colouring on the headsculpt/helmet.

IMG_0159.jpg As only the right leg has a peg, there is a certain amount of play/movement, and I don't know if it was intentional or not but it made it easier to align the right arm/hand attachment to the claw marks on the base.

IMG_0160.jpg Unfortunately I had a scuff/slight stratching on the head (left of mouth/cheek)....... battle damage :dunno

all your pics are bad

They were working before.......

Should be fixed now.

Just saw them all...Holy ****!!! What a gorgeous piece:love checks bank account again...Thank you for those and for taking the time. I'm not seeing any real issues (re how unpleasant proto vs. reality can be LOL.) Yeah, there seems to be "little things" here and there - just from pics, BP could have had the correct face paint; Bucky from the looks of it could have had eyes that were more blue-gray like the actor's (tho maybe they didn't want him to look like Cap and Seb does have greenish eyes in some shots...) + a nicely chromed arm.

But I envy you *jealous* LOL. IS looks like they really came through. Just love the details - BP scratches and the tearing the metal up...The head doesn't look that big to me, even re the film, because being a full head mask Boseman needed to be able to get off easily - maybe scaling down from the real thing gave that effect?

Great pics. I'm glad I ordered (although it would have been nice if Iron Studios would have painted the one line on the mask as they eventually did for the movie).
