way too much comedy in the movie...some of which is just not that great. of course its just my personal opinion, but rhodey and tony don't need to be one lining it every damn time they get screen time together.

the rest of the movie im totally fine with. i got that they where going for the "what happens when ironman is taken away" premise. its been done with the character before, so saying "its not an ironman movie because he doesn't have a suit on for 90% of the film" is silly. it was true to the character and that is all that matters regardless of whether you liked the premise and story surrounding it.

...i hope there will be a stand alone warmachine movie at some point.

Gosh, I hope so! I hope it keeps up. Iron Man got me into Hot Toys. I am a fan of Iron Man as a character first (and was long before it was cool) and if I had the money I'd snap up every armor just because I love the character and I like the look of them. But as for now I have to pick and choose.

I think what the doom and gloomers on here fail to recognize when they prognosticate failure for the little-seen armors is how much people are into the character full-out. Screen time doesn't matter that much. I mean, people have bought completely made up armor recolors. I didn't, because I had to choose my battles, but if they did that, then I have no doubt they'll pick up these other ones. If HT way over-orders, then it could be an issue.

The only thing holding me back from going nuts with Iron Man is a lack of funds.

Cap got the Red Skull, Thor has Loki.
Heck even Hulk got the Abomb.

And IM gets????? A fake Mandarin???

Just got home, LOVED the movie. I'm not an avid comic reader so as long as I enjoy the story it doesn't matter to me if a movie varies from the comics.

But, now that I've seen the movie I would say that IP and Tony Stark are the best/most desirable HT figures from the movie. The Mk 42 obviously has a lot of screen time but it's not as unique looking and quite similar to the older suits IMO.

The more unique suits (Igor, Snapper, Gemini etc) had such little individual screen time that I have no desire in any of them even though they look amazing.

And even though I loved what they did with The Mandarin, the fact that he isn't really even a villain makes me lose quite a lot of interest in his figure. Personally, if he isn't priced in the Agent Coulson price range, there's no way I'm buying one.

I wonder if completists will be torn after seeing the movie. I also wonder how many red snapper preorders will be canceled tomorrow.

Loved the movie but hate that we didn't get the extra scenes like China did. Hope I am not spoiling anything but they never showed these scenes in the film.

I guess you can just watch this trailer for your self. Or wait for the release of the Movie in DVD/Blu-Ray

Killian is the mandarin. Trevor is just a decoy - just like how watanabe was the decoy in batman begins.

They didn't cut the China parts, the China parts were added in for Chinese release they aren't crucial to the plot they just big up Chinese aspects of the film.

After watching the movie last night, I knew the biggest rift for comic purists was with the Mandarin. I mean taking (For sake of arguement) one of IM's at least top 3 villains and to pull the Batman Begins was really lazy. Then to pull the Bane ***** move and punk Kingsly and the Mandarin persona out to be a drunk druggie LOL!

After including the Avengers fallout with knowing there are aliens and all of the Extremis plot line with biotechology in this movie universe, why could they not just stick with the 10 rings and had Kingsley be Mandarin with all the ring powers? It was definitely in the cards with that world now exposed to those things in the movie.

I feel like the new director/scriptwriters were watching too much Batman when they wrote this script and produced.

But for non comic book fans just going to the movie with no background, I am sure it was a very entertaining movie. More of a comedy than a CB movie. I didn't hate it, just left with a lot of "what if's" and "man that could have been's".

only one thing really bothered me and that is, every one who got issued the extremis virus seem to also have been given 'unstable molecules' clothing. killian's pants and pepper's sport's bra and undies are all made by mr. fantastic, i'm telling you.

Well its kinda like how Bruce Banner's size 38 pants can become Hulk's size 80 shorts. On a side note I loved IM3 it didn't bother me the slightest about the changes they made. I think if you go into a movie theater knowing what will happen you get robbed of genuine storytelling.
