Is Hot Toys going to release a new run of Truetypes?

Generally speaking the wrists seem to be the worst part to find loose, I'm surprised no one is making 3rd party wrist pegs...

You can buy a $6.00 pair of gloved hands from Storerooms that come with two sets of wrist pegs. One of those sets has been designed to fit Hot Toys figures. I've been meaning to order a set to try them out, but I haven't pulled the trigger just yet.

Since it's Storerooms, that means they'll be $6 shipped. Not too bad if you need a set of pegs in a pinch. If they're fully compatible, that is...

I'd like to point out tht the included hot toys pegs in the picture are the older style of wrist pegs, with the larger plug, as such, they will not fit the newer hands.

Hmmm. Like I said. If they're fully compatible.

So what's the cut-off point for the "newer" style hands, then?

Here's an example; I have a couple of Caucasian Truetypes from the last batch they made (the Wentworth Miller sculpt) and the extra hands are just sitting in the blister packs unused. I would think that I'd be able to use the Storerooms pegs with those hands. I know for a fact that I can use the Miller TT pegs with The V.1 Joker's hands and he's a newer figure. On the other hand, they don't work at all with Original Suit Batman's mitts and he was released at the same time. A little confusing.

If nothing else, I'd like to have a viable option for quickie replacement pegs; I'm always so terrified that I'll snap one of the plugs off when switching out hands. Maybe I should just buy a set and try 'em out for myself...

I've got a set coming.

I've bought the newer Caucasian (WM head) and some loose HT military bodies. The military figures always come with thicker pegs so I assumed it was thin pegs for bare hands and thicker pegs for gloves. But Batman and Joker are both gloved hands, no?

Yeah, I think they are slowly transitioning over to the thin peg. But some recent releases like Batman still used the thicker peg design.

from what i can tell, hot toys is actively using both. it all depends on what hands will be used. as, for example, all the milatary figures are using The oakly gloves, which take the thicker pegs, then those are the pegs they are supplied with. any NEW sculpts for hands, such as joker, the newer truetypes, and so on are going to use the newer pegs.

Just my 0.02$

Yeah, having to pay a bunch extra for a set of pegs is really annoying. Some company makes feet that are compatible with HT... I'd love to see someone make sets of pegs, buy like 20 for $10 or something.

Although to me the most annoying thing is trying to find one seller with all the pieces, because it extra sucks to spend $5 on a neck plug, plus another $4 when that's the only thing you still need :lol

Yeah, I bought extra neck adapters from GSTG just in case.

From experience, when you start buying a few of these bodies, the neck adapters start adding up. You might not even need to buy them at all. The bodies do come with the 2 different kind of adapters.

The hand pegs are the hardest thing to get. I'm starting to customize other hand adapters to fit the True Type and it's working great. The Asian sellers charge so much for the hand pegs alone, plus with the shipping included, it becomes expensive.

So, let me get this straight, the last wave of Truetypes used the thinner wrist pegs that can be used with the last two Joker releases?

I'm also trying to get hold of some pegs right about now, and don't want to end up buying the wrong thing, especially as being in the UK they cost so flaming much now.

The newer True Types use the small peg, but most of the gloved and bendy hand figures use the larger peg (i.e. military figures).
