Is Hot Toys going to release a new run of Truetypes?

Keep your eyes peeled guys, my supplier has just told me that the latest Truetype special edition will be On hand in a week or so. Some have already popped up, (parts at least!) on ebay.

thats as much as I know for now,but if parts are there,also complete figures. I think I may have mine in under a fortnight,

No, it's the same body that was out last year, except it has the Tom Cruise head sculpt.

Nah, my question was rather if it was somehow improved, I still have a loose TrueType lying around, and have one that I kitbashed into a Wayne for fun, but could use if I needed it, too, so I'm good.

I am confused. Are the True Types the same as what HT uses for the figures that they produce (Military/Icons/Etc)?

yup, the exact same

usualy different hand/wrist joints though. slightly larger peg that goes into the hands on the military figures.

Thanks lerath666- Too bad that there is such a dry spell with the posts/pegs. They should include posts with each hand set that they sell.

what should happen is those ebay sellers should NOt part the pegs off the body. the hands, ok, sure, but the pegs are kinda important. It's as asinine, and it's insulting. all it is is a cheap way to milk the buyers for more cash. it would be no different than selling a hot toys predator body without the koer legs and the forarms, just becuase they're detachable. It's something that really really irks me.

Hate it too, but there is a guy on ebay seeling them for a much better price, just got quite a few pairs from him, cheapest I've found....

No, the gloved and bendy hands use a 2 prong peg that is larger, while the smaller peg is just a single peg.

It's possible, yes, but that's ALOT of sanding. the smaller pegs are MUCH smaller. you'd need to remove about 75% of the plastic that's there to make them small enough.

I got the HT V1 Joker hands (I pieced mine together from ebay) and the pegs (from the same ebay auction linked above) seperately a couple of months ago not knowing there was a difference in the peg sizes, so I simply dremeled Joker's hands to fit the larger pegs.

Hot Toys will be releasing the female body this year so we'll probably get another set of male bodies, too.

I would have sanded down the pegs instead, but that's just me.

Dremeling the hands is actualy not a bad idea either.
