Having read about the recent spate of medicom failures in quality control and customer care i think it's time to start sendin in our grievencies again.

I just sent this-

Hello Medicom

I was a collector of your figures for many years, and here in the UK that can be a very tricky and expensive hobby, I recently stopped purchasing your products and in the light of recent news and reviews I have read about your quality control I have no plans to start again.

You claim to be making a high-end, quality collectable product but the the 'quality' is slipping more and more.

I think two things are needed to restore peoples faith in your future releases-

Firstly and most obviously they need to improve, the materials should be much more resilient, if one is paying £150 for an item, I believe said item should arrive in a perfect condition and be able to be posed without fear of breakage.

Secondly you need reassure people who do purchase your products that when ... sorry 'if' they receive a a faulty item you will help to resolve the situation rather than shrugging it off with a stock emailed answer, that quite frankly we are all fed up with reading.

You are at serious risk of alienating your collectors, we may never return unless you start being more proactive in looking after us.

Kind regards

Jeff Parker

Here-

[email protected]

We should ALL send something similar, they are quite frankly taking the piss!

I would be very surprised if you get a response from them AT ALL,they dont seem to care, ive sent them SO many emails, even through my sellers and still nothing.

Well a couple of years back they did send me a replacement lightsabre for my Ep IV Vader, but it took a lot of effort.

I just think anyone that is bothered should email them letting them know how we feel. The best way to let them know is of course to stop buying their products.

good move Wook, lets hope they listen cuz its really not fair.......more expensive than hot toys to get inferior quality? no way sir!

Oh yeah of the emails i sent,2 of them had my thoughts about them and their products when i was sick of their arrogance that didnt bother getting back to me.

It's sad, because they have some of the best talent, but the time is now to fix things for THEIR own sake if they intend to survive. I'm through with them until they come forth and improve their ways. There are plenty of other lines out there anyway.

i've stopped with medi - had it with their lack of QC and their total defiance of collector concerns. i cancelled everything recently and i doubt i'll preorder anything in the near future. still have the TDK suit batman on offer but, i don't think i'll keep it if things continue the way they are.

this is a great idea wook. i'll be sending my own email but in japanese. so they have no excuse. hopefully i won't get the same old crappy stock answer they send everyone.

So they actually answer emails?

Their Indiana Jones and LOST Jack Shephard figures (how that one turned out in production is a complete and utter disgrace) were the last straw for me. I am done with Medicom unless they change things around entirely.

i've never got a reply personally, but i know others have received them but i think generally they're template emails. useless. i think wook's received replies in the past.

i have around 5 medi figures and i've never had any issues with them. but, i've heard some horror stories on here.

wonder if i should send them a complaint about me not having their daft punk figures.
maybe they'll send them to me.

I have over 20 Medis and so far only two have broken (comic Spidey and naked RAH massive that I use as a figure a model), I'm also concerned about the longevity of the outfits on both the Vaders I have, as I've seen some pretty distressing pics of how many have degraded.

But recently many 'new' figures just dont measure up and many have serious faults when fresh out of the box.

And yeah, I've had a few replies over the years, but most were cut and pasted stock pre-prepared corporate 'thank you for your email... blah, blah, blah'. I don't expect an instat reply in perfect Enlish, just an acknowledgement that they take these issues seriously.

Instead of emailing Medicom - which will not work - why not email Sideshow and tell them that we're not going to buy anymore Medicom products through them until the quality improves - and furthermore organise a mass cancellation campaign for any products on preorder?

Medicom will NEVER listen to emails from fans, but they will listen to a business partner.

Thats not a bad idea, not sure it will work though, but yet much better than emailing Medicom directly.

You all the speak the truth. I don't want Medi to fail, they have shown they are capable of greatness. But for the money they ask they need to be more consistent and certainly a lot more robust. I treat all of my figures with respect but I have had two fall apart with careful handling. So as you say the best way to make your 'voice' heard is to stop buying and email them to tell them why, cut and paste a link to this thread, they might even give us some answers.

Yea im scared to pose my medicom figure because of the rubber cracks ive been seeing and for the price I should be able to pose the figure as much times as I want
