Doc would be a cool choice. Honestly, he wouldn't be my first idea for the next Joe figure, but he would be cool.

Plus Doc > Lifeline.

I think Lifeline would be pretty kewl in 1/6.

i thought lifeline in the special missions comic was pretty cool...where he takes on horrorshow from the october guard. i like lifeline and the fact that he was a pacifist but also a black belt in akido. it was just a cool twist imo. he wasn't really like any other of the joes. it's still one of the issues that really stands out to me.

Don't get me wrong, I dug Lifeline. I just don't want to see his bright red uni.

Another reason why the comic was greater than the cartoon in my opinion: the comic and not to mention the figure itself, had Lifeline using weapons. But the cartoon made Lifeline a pacifist / conscientious objector. I guess it made for an interesting character, but the friggin card art shows him with a sidearm...

Lifeline was a pacifist in the comics too. In GI Joe Special Missions #4 he refused to pick up a rifle and assist his wounded comrades even when ambushed by the Oktober Guard.

Hmmm, I cannot recall that, but I'll take your word for it, Khev. For some reason, I cannot locate my old Joe comics. I had a pretty good run of the RAH series, Special Missions, the Yearbooks, and the Order of Battle.

Me too.

Maybe . . . the next announced JOE should be "HAWK". Technically, they could make two versions of "HAWK". The classic version as part of the original team and amalgam of the classic version and the cartoon version as "GENERAL HAWK". "HAWK" in essence would complete/round out the "command structure" of GI JOE with DUKE, FLINT (upcoming), and BEACH HEAD (upcoming). "Command structure" as in what I remember from the comics and cartoon.

A "2-in-1" version of Hawk shouldn't be all that costly to make, since the original would be so bare bones in terms of having the old school fatigues. I could definitely go for that.

Though I really like the character and the old toy, Ripcord is one of the most generic post-83 Joes around. That figure ^ is basically him, and is probably done as well as that kind of figure could be done. Probably better for Sideshow to stick to the more distinctive looking Joes.

yah, the cover has him hanging in a tree upside down. he and horrowshow (i think that is his name) from the oktober guard are forced by pirates to fight. lifeline turns out to be a black belt in akido and beats him and 'amazes' the other joes.
