Obviously that isn't going to happen. You can probably look to the characters who appeared in Resolute as a pretty close template to who'll we'll see from SSC before the line ends. Anyone else is gravy.

As long as we don't see any figures based on the RESOLUTE design.

WELL . . . maybe Scarlett.

;)

Gravy . . . I like gravy.

That would be cool...much better than "sniper trooper."

Agreed, but I'm already kind of burnt out on the trooper variations.

I'd much rather they save this for a later release, maybe a year from now, after we've gotten the Viper and Crimson Guard...

If all of the other figures are held up in production, trooper variants can make for an easy-to-produce fill-in until some of the others are ready.

I would be OK with that.

I skipped the sniper (pointless repaint in my opinion)

He wasn't really. The uniform was different, as well as the web gear. Then, obviously, the rifle.

They are going slow, but this is May and we have three more figures that scheduled to ship this year. There's still time for several announcements, and potentially another figure to ship 4th quarter.

yep and yep.

Hell, I would even be happy with a re-release of the regular trooper with a new head sculpt just to add variety to the Trooper ranks! (edit - of course I mean that as a worse-case-scenario just to keep out appetites whetted until another release or another figure shipping)

Or, they could start doing green shirts.

at some point i'd like to see ss tackle the alley viper, night viper or tunnel rat...but honestly i have already gotten 4 of my favorite characters so everything at this point is gravy.

I think at SDCC we are going to get 2 figs previewed and the line will start to increase from that point, selling these at 125$ a crack and selling out is gold for SS.

I think however that the pacing is almost perfect. If they get too aggressive with the timing of releases they could very easily push those collectors (cough cough dare we call them completists?) who have bought every release so far to have to decide which of the new arrivals they're willing to keep.

This is true. Realistically and financially, the current pace is perfect. But it is a testament to how awesome this line is that as soon as I got Duke in hand and opened him up, I wanted another figure immediately. Action figure crack.

"We can’t say exactly how many will see release in 2010, but the number is likely to be six or more."

I'm assuming "release" means pre-order or reveal, because unless two or more figures ship in fourth quarter 2010, Sideshow misses their stated mark.

The decision's both. :dunno
