The detail on guys like BBQ or even Airtight would be incredible at this scale. And I can only image what they could do ith BATs. :drool

Who is this abomination?

That would be a toxic zombie viper or somthing to that effect, thats when Gijoe went off the deep end and most of us stopped paying attention... but that is a good range of years Evil mentioned for the most part. I can agree with your list but would like to add a few I like to see ASAP!! I can't post pics tho (some kind of error message)

Zander
Recoil
Rampart
Hit & Run
Backblast
Dusty
Falcon
Leatherneck
Muskrat
Bullhorn
Alpine
B.A.T.S
Roadblock - 2nd version, (his oufit would be cooler than a tank top and fatgiues)
Undertow (I think I'd perfer these guys to the dated look of the 1985 eels, perhaps a new color scheme to make them cobra and not Destro's frogmen)

Y'know you'd think with all the available Desert BDUs and gear that there would be more 1/6 custom Dustys around. I think to date I've seen one, maybe two tops.

Yea, I know it... so get busy dude. Wow us some more you killer custom maker you!:joy

Man, looking at Yo Joe.com, the figures released after 1991 were pretty bad. Hasbro got on this projectile weapon kick, giving every character a rocket launcher and/or cannon. Not to mention the wild and outrageous costumes/uniforms...

Who needs to look at YoJoe.com? I can tell every figure from memory. I lived with them and owned almost everyone of them.

There are several figures that had great sculpts but horrible color schemes.

Well, I stopped buying Joes after '91, hence the need to check Yo Joe.com. Glad you remember all of them, but some of us don't.

Problem with Roadblock and Destro is Sideshow can't do convincing muscle bodies. Have to transplant them over to Hot Toys rubber muscle bodies to look good.

Whoa, time out... poseability IS ABSOLUTELY A MUST for this line. Joe's can't just "look" good,:nono . I suggest sideshow get to work on other body types for those types of figures. Muscles and articulation please... and if they can stand up that be great too.

My number one most wanted Joe right now is this right here:

One badass mother right there!

Ripcord is a very close second though.

:D I actually had an idea once to start a group project for Dusty since there's so many parts out there, but I just don't think there'd be enough interest in it.

Cool.
Basically my idea was that everyone would essentially be making their own iconic version of Dusty figure and we'd more-or-less coach each other and share part lists, how-tos, where-to-gets, etc. etc. Similar to what went on with the "Building the Ultimate T-800" in the Terminator/Alien forum. Again just a though really, but if enough people are gung-ho about I'll start the thread for it.

I would at least be interested in seeing what it would take. Dusty was probably my 3rd favorite figure as a kid, and I don't imagine Sideshow getting to him anytime soon. . .if at all. He was even an afterthought in the 25th line.

Though I did pass on the suggestion of doing him to Sideshow Dusty :D

Sideshow. Dusty. It really seems like a no brainer to me! :D
But in all honesty I imagine he might be a little too generic looking for SSC to make, similar to Footloose and possibly even Falcon. More than any other Joes those three really look like average soldiers.

But Dusty would really be an easy custom to pull off with a little work.
Once you settled on a head you could really use any body. He doesn't wear gloves, unless you want him too. Monkey Depot's got desert fatigues for $3 and if you don't like the pattern there are PLENTY of other optios out there. FAMAS rifles aren't too hard to come by either.

Rubber muscle bodies suck. I prefer articulation on my action figures. You want something pretty that doesn't move, buy a PF, dio or bust.

Cool.

That's basically what we did with Gimli and it worked wonders!

I'd forgotten about Gimli. That would've been a better example but Arnie came to mind... So, Nam, are you in? :naughty
