Veteran's Day. Good time for a Joe announcement.

I really don't see us getting Gung-Ho, at least not the '83 version unless there's a new pair of beefy arms in the works. I honestly would not buy a Dress Marine version, he'd definitely be the German Indy of this line. Just too easy to kitbash.

Now that Sideshow are branching out into Temple Of Doom territory, can we expect to see a 1/6th TOD Indy soon? When things like PF’s and dioramas are announced, I always look for the 1/6th announcement. Since you have collaborated with Hot Toys with your armored figures, you could easily handle the visible articulation issue with the rope-bridge version by using one of their muscle bodies.

You’ll see a pause in the Indiana Jones 12-inch line after Henry Jones. Our development team is in the midst of evaluating TOD characters (including Indy) for production, including considerations like collaboration with Hot Toys for muscle bodies. It may take us some time to fully answer this question, but it is an active discussion.

In the meantime, we have some truly wonderful TOD Premium Format figures in development, and we’re eager to show you more. Stay tuned!

There is the solution for a proper Gung Ho and Roadblock. Hell, put Roadblock on a black Dutch body and call it a day. I dont like them that much, be there is no denying he would look awesome.

Even using something like HT Comedian body would work for Gung Ho.

Sounds more like an excuse to put the Indy 1:6 line into their infamous "on hold" status than anything else. Notice they said Henry Jones and not the already pre-ordered KOTCS Indy?

The Indy line doesn't have the legs or life to support an "hold" for another body type. They should really just dig out the Hobbit body and make Short-Round first.

Either way I'd imagine they are devoting more time to a liscense that sells:

In typical SS fashion, it's only a matter of time before we hear, "We're currently exploring just how to 'chrome' character heads like Destro and Battle-helmet Cobra Commander, so while the Joe line will be briefly paused, please have a look at our great licensed dioramas and Premium Format figures!" In the end, there will only be 1:6 Star Wars.

Truth be told, I hope we never hear that for the Joe line. Them referencing dios and PFs in a line where it's been a while since the last release is a ****ing 1:6 death sentence for whichever line is included in that Q&A answer.

I am going to be seriously pissed if Sideshow puts the GI Joe 1/6 on hold because it is the only 1/6th line that I still collect (all of my other 1/6th have been sold to fund PFs); I have NO interest in GI Joe dios, lsb, or PFs...well, maybe a PF of Storm Shadow, goggled Snake Eyes, Zartan, or Firefly.

That said, I don't see Sideshow putting the kibosh on this line simply because it is too popular. They might avoid characters that require new body types like Destro, Roadblock, or females, but I think we will continue to see characters they can stick on their true type. You don't see any GI Joes sitting "in-stock" and Snake-Eyes hasn't shown up on the Gift Card list.

PF's would be the only thing that can stray me from the 1/6 but I don't see that happening because I would want both versions of each character.

I'll enjoy both scales if they do this... but really I want them to go full steam ahead the 1/6 figs please...

Cobra Commander is still "In Stock" as I type this.

I keep considering buying a PF Joe when they make one, just so I can light it on fire, then Urinate on it after, to express my distaist for them.

Stick to the articulated figures please.

It's great that people love them, but even the SUGGESTION that they would put the 1/6th line on hold to focus on the PF's realy gets my Ire.

My bet is on Firefly or Beach Head since they have already been mentioned. Seems like the masked figures are the direction they have been heading in anyway. Makes it easier on the sculptors.

no more statues. i want figures. i like statues as much as the next guy but they get to be so boring. i like taking a glance at my storm shadow figure and realizing he's had the same pose for a awhile and it's time to change it up. then it's BAM!!!! half hour later and he's a whole new figure.

I agree.. these figs are not hard to get.. and yes some are still instock.
