OK then they need to speed it up because Im dying for the next one. Then again, green light and actual pre-pro are different. I want a script done now and casting and all that. :lol

Well, I won't disagree with your eagerness. Looking forward to the next one myself.

Hopefully if this one is the Trek "Batman Begins", then the next will be even better ala "The Dark Knight"

Honestly, I think they shouldn't do more movies, just keep Abrams involved, sign the cast and turn this into a TV series again. This would easily be a show I'd make sure I made time to watch every week.

I'm sure the cast were made to sign multiple deals when they signed on for the flick. I don't know if a Series would be good; Enterprise was a good show, but that went downhill real fast. It's better in film form. Plus, they can have better effects, etc with a film.

As it stands, what the heck did Nero do for the 20 - 25 years between Kirk's birth (first attack) and his attack on Federation space?

He pretty much waited around for Spock, as he didn't want to get his revenge without Spock seeing it happen.

The home video release will almost certainly include a deleted scene/sequence showing that Nero had been imprisoned by the Klingons. You get some reference to the incident in the film--Nero's crew apparently attacked the Klingons and rescued him from prison, just in time to intercept Spock.

I could definitely see this crew making a new series very fun to watch. But even if they just keep to making great films like this I'll be a happy camper.

Been listening to the soundtrack all day - it is fantastic! Just too short.

Intersting that you bring that it. I really didn't pick up much on the score watching the film, which I think really speaks to the quality of this movie. I was so engrossed in the characters and story, the score, the effects, it was all background.

I really and I mean really like the score in the final trailer and was bummed it wasnt in the movie.

That music I did really like as well.

I did some research to try and hunt down that track and I couldn't find the track but found out the information.

music by ‘Two Steps From Hell‘. In the third trailer, the track is from their ‘Legend collection’ and is titled ‘Freedom Fighters’

Two steps from hell is the group name for composers Thomas Bergersen and Nick Phoenix who specialize primarily in music trailers.

I was listening to the score througout the movie. A good movie is one where I can hear, and enjoy the score while enjoying the film.

Also one could presume that some time was spent after their initial arrival repairing the damage from the battle/collision with the USS Kelvin. With the small crew on Nero's ship, a year or two patching things up/refitting afterwards doesn't seem unreasonable (assuming that the Borg technology influence didn't make the ship self repairing).

I also like the other Two Steps From Hell track from the first TREK trailers. It's called "Down with the Enterprise".
