I posted this a few pages back, I'm reposting since it has to do with the current conversation:

TREKKIES! :nono

"Trekkers" was just a term invented by Trekkies who dishonor Trek because they are embarrassed by their heritage.

Trekkies go to Sto'vo'kor.

Trekkers go to Gre'Thor.

Trekker/Trekkie..... WTF DOES IT MATTER???

*ahem*

:lol aaaaaanyway. Saw this film for the second time on Sunday, and I was ready to start spotting flaws in it, and things I didn't like after the excitement had gone away of the 'new film'.

...but I liked it even MORE second time round. Unbelievable.

There are things that don't really make sense, or are too coincidental... but you know what? The ride is SO much fun... that it really doesnt matter. The brilliance of the film glosses over any flaws that may be there.

Amazing stuff... wanna see it again. I've not had as much fun in a theater for a LONG time. :rock

Saw the movie finally. Holy crap that is how you reboot a series! It even made sense in the story - has that ever happened before? Incredible.

I can't believe I've seen this movie 4 times already( I have no life :monkey2). For me it gets better every time I see it. Any predictions out there on how much it will make? For myself I would say around $200 million. I hope for higher but I would say $200 million is pretty safe. My 17 year old niece went to see it (she makes fun of me and my other brother for being "nerds") and she called me to tell me she LOVED it! As long as it gets people her age to see it and enjoy it it stands a chance of doing $250.

I'm thinking about seeing this again... I rarely see a movie more than once (last two were TDK and ROTS) but I really loved this flick, and am excited from reports of people liking even more with repeated watchings :rock
