I liked the lens flares. That in addition to the way the bridge was done made it feel.. new and warm I guess you could say.

The bridge was already very bright, having lens flares didn't really add to anything, other that to distract the eye to it.

I didn't mind the lens flare. It's a JJ thing. It's on Fringe too. I like it, a visual signature, if you like. Artistic choice. Works for me :)

Oh, and i love the fact that the engine rooms in the film looked like breweries or oil refineries.... made the place look more real. Having an engine room be a corridor with some flashy lights at the end never looked real to me.... Vessels today have touch screens on the bridge and engine rooms that are more 'physical', so having the engine room set in a 'real' place with physical pipes and valves was one of the parts that I loved the most about it. I hope they keep that look for the second film.

Also helped with the sense of scale that these ships were huge.

Classic Trek Abrams style:

Wow, that is perfect. :rotfl

Like others have posted. I really didn't notice it. I will have to go back and watch it again again. :lecture :rock

I noticed it in some of the trailers. It doesn't take from the movie, but it doesn't need to be there. But.....

it's a future-y thing! Good enough explanation.

I did not notice Lens Flare. I guess I was too wrapped up in the movie itself.
