People are afraid of Sideshow repeating characters. It's inevitable, it's only matter of time

I get that people are worried about their investments. For example what woe happen to the value of the Spiderman Comiquette if SSC makes a kick ass PF that makes it look like crap. However, as a newb I don't care about that. I just want a kick butt classic Red and Blue Spiderman

I doubt there will be any Spidey statues that will make Spiderman Comiquette like crap. I love the comiquette a lot, the pose is perfect, the base is excellent, very detail and fit Spiderman very well, I doubt the new one will be better than Comiquette.

If in fact they will release a new 1/4 Spidey classic, I may still get it but to me the Comi will always be more special, I most likely would like the Comi better than the new one. Plus the new one may have 9500 ES which would make the Comi more special indeed

true...kind of amazing a character like Spiderman(comiquette) had a total ES between the reg and EX of less than 2000.
I remember some back then thinking that was a little to high lol.......now the EX alone on a new Spidey would probably have an ES of more than 2000.

Sorry Iron I should say that if a new statue simply looks better then the Comiquette because the Com has some issues m8

IMHO the straight on portrait of this one looks off. The eyes are TO far apart to the point that if you look at the facial anatomy Parker's eyes woule be covered by the red part of his mask. The base could also be more Iconic IMHO put him at the top of a building with a gargoyle or something. Plus THIS IS SPIDERMAN get him into a truly AWESOME Dynamic pose and throw in some Romita Sr. and a new PF would be ALL WIN. I hate to say it... improve the quality of the Koto statue and bring it into a full 1/4 statue, and it would be the BEST out there IMO.

I normally agree with most of your posts. Not this time. The pose,, the sculpt and the base ROCK on the COM. The paint job could have been better. However, I believe any fully sculpted classic Spidey will have paint issues with the webs. Even the Koto piece you think so highly of, suffers in that department. The Com is a classic statue that will always be loved by many and will be very hard to top. It's OK if it's not your favorite statue of the character. Hopefully they'll make something to your liking soon.

I am more than content with my EX Com. I even got Stan's signature on it. It will not be leaving my collection.

Don't forget the comiquette version has no NOSE! That's the part that kills me about this piece. Every other Spiderman statue I've seen has some resemblance of a nose under the mask...

I'm not one of those that believe they shouldn't make another one, but just make sure it some of those issues are addressed.

Don't forget the comiquette version has no NOSE! That's the part that kills me about this piece. Every other Spiderman statue I've seen has some resemblance of a nose under the mask...

This is a fictional character everything does not have to make sense, same thing with Hulk how could his pant still fits him when he becomes hulk? Are we gonna complain about that too? Just sayin

The comi has awesome dynamic pose and the base could have not been better, very detail with the cracks on the wall and it's very unique different than any other bases.

history shows sideshow revists do nothing to the value of older pieces...the hulk PF recently hit $1,200 on ebay & keeps going up. so does doom, cap, thor etc...

AWESOME... I am really happy with your Com... And I respect your opinion. I think that the line issue with the Koto are even more of an issue hence my improve the quality comment, but as a whole that is what I want from a Spidey statue. Him in full badass swinging mode, but that is just me...

Facial anatomy is a tough gig and one of the FIRST things that jumps out at me for a statue... It is kind of a deal breaker for me most of the time...lol. Again I am glad you like yours m8. I just hope to get my own different classic blue and red some time SOONISH...lol.

if it were the movie version, they would be using movie stills for reference, not the artwork that's in the background that clearly shows a red/blue type costume. Could be a ultimate version, but defn doesn't look like a old pic of the comi or a movie version.

That's pretty much the one that coming down the pipe next. Just SSC way of getting the new collectors to not mind the no ES or bloated ES. But I'm ol' skool, and glad I got in when I did, so now I can pass on all these newer revisited statues coming out.
