Spiderman is like one of the shortest heroes out there. The BIB and Iron Spider Coms are suppose to be 1/4 and they are barely as tall as Rogue, and that is with a tall base....

Really it is a little to early t tell in the sculpting process... I am just super happy a new Spiderman is coming out.

Thanks Dhaval. It is way too small to be a PF/comiquette. Heck, could this be a 1/5 scale diorama with Spidey and Venom? I see a second sculpt to the left of Spidey which could be venom? Spidey is sculpted as if he is attached to a wall so maybe Venom could be on the other side? Almost like 2 bookends?

This certainly doesn't look 1/4 scale to me. I'm just happy I have the Com. It's a great looking 1/4 scale fully sculpted piece and I have it signed by Stan Lee. I'm all good. Don't need another Spidey. Good luck to all of you waiting on another classic Spidey.

If they make another spidey 1/4 then it should be Spider-Man 2099.

This isnt though... you just have to look at the reference to see that it is the classic blue and red. My guess is we will hear about this sooner rather then later, and I ONLY say that because I think that Marvel will try to time the next movie and the return of Peter Parker as Spiderman to coinside with each other, and if they do that would be a good time to release this. However, if we are really honest ... ANYTIME would be a good time to release this. I will say though that this ALMOST looks like it could be a brother piece to the comiquette... though it would have to be made bigger.

Except maybe a newer McFarlane PF! Maybe someday. The new one will do the job for me. Can't complain at retail prices for a new spidey to finally get into my collection and save a few bucks.

Unless both figures are standing straight you can't compare statue height for scale. Venom is a good example. The statue height is small, but he's crouching. Rogue is standing straight, BiB/Iron Spidey isn't.
Body proportions is a better comparison. Iceman in the background is 1/5. Spidey's height is 5'11, Iceman 5'8, . Spidey is closer to the camera and barely looks larger than the Iceman, so it appears to be 1/5. If it were 1/4 he'd look even bigger compared to that Iceman.
Either way, if this ends up as a dio or companion to that other piece laying on the counter it'll be awesome. An awesome Spidey is more important than scale.

Well usually but I try to stay with the same scale. 1/5 would be tolerable though.

Yeah lets be honest it is to earyly in th process to really know what this is and how big it will be. It could be a smaller sculpt that gets scanned into the computer and then made into a larger production sculpt. we don't know yet.
