Statue J Scott Campbell Classic Spiderman Comiquette

In the end I am not entirely what I am going to do. It won't even necessarily be a scale thing. I did a quick bit of measuring and figuring based on the height of the MJ Com, and I figure Spidey is 19-20 inches high. In the end Spiderman is my FAVORITE character ever so in the end I want to LOVE the statue I have of him. I don't want to feel like I am settling.

Fully Understand Spidey.. If you are not 100% in love with it or hell even 90% you should save for the original comiquette.. Problem is, the longer you wait the more it will cost..

Like I said you can always get this one and if a better version comes out you can sell it. I have done that with more the one Hulk statue.

But you are right.. Don't settle if you don't think you will love it.

Based on the picture it looks to me like that head is removable, so I’m expecting a COH for the EX.

You know I think it is the fact that I am not sold on this piece from every angle. When I look at videos and pics of the original Com, short of the nose issue, and it looks solid and powerful from any angle. I don't think the new one looks as good from I the side angles or as solid. In fact he looks scrawny IMHO. Now I think I MAY actually prefer the J Scott Com from the front, and 3/4 front views, but not so much that it overrules the other Com.

Don't do it spidey, & listen to your gut, & not all the fan boys. This thing
does not come close to comi, (except painted background wall, which is pretty cool.). Save, trade, hunt down the comiquette version, & you will never, ever look back. Good luck.

I had the original Comiquette. It's true, it is a great piece. I just don't think it's 1200.00 great. I think there are some things about the new version that trumps the old. In fact if his new version had the Eyes of the original then the new would be just about perfect IMO.. Not the original is not close to perfect... It is.. I just like the little details that are added into the new one. Like the fact you can tell he is wearing a costume and the paint apps (if they come out as good as the proto) are some of SSC best ever.

Yeah, the only thing the original comi lacks is the nose/ears, which would have made it absolutely perfect. As is, it's damn close.

Still don't know why people have to come in here an scream the comi trumps dis man!!! This thing sucks man!!! Not sure why one can't Appreaciate both. I sure can. I frankly am pretty happy cuz now I can pick up 3 PFs for the price of the com and get my Spidey fix.

Been lucky enough to have the original comiquette , and am getting this with MJ and Gwen. Yes am a Spidery fun...I cannot miss anything that goes with him....Am afraid the EX is going to be just an art print and I hope I will be wrong , cause if this has a different head am going to buy 2 and I ll go...........

My only worry are the lines, but if they are doing a "New" paint application on MJ maybe the same can be said for all 3. Base on the new one has a bit more character too, I'm talking about the very bottom.

See I think the new 1/5 scale version will go better with pieces like the Rhino comiquette. Original Spidey is just a tad too big IMO.

The thing is I have found a Com for less then the $1200 they go for on EBay. I even have the money set aside, but that is for the Batman Ex and Superman Ex PFs I have on the way, and it would mean giving one of those two up. So it comes down to choice. Do I choose to let an Ex of either Bats or Supes go to get a Reg Spidey... Knowing that Regs of Bats and Supes will be available. Or do I keep what I have coming, and get the J Scott, a d hope that maybe down the road a bit I get another shot. It is all a matter of choice, and I haven't made it yet....lol
