I dont know guys. Gladiator hulk... This line.. more to follow im sure. Not to mention all the new limited edition non es pieces coming most recently. I think SS is slowly trying convert to a non existent ex world. If you think about it from a business standpoint typically once the ex sells out the reg remains available for quite some time. Colossus and Storm are still available at SS direct and they were both done well. Ex sells quick and the reg sits around afterwards. I think SS is trying to slowly ween us off exclusives and i for one am not having it

But they are almost guaranteed to sell all their exclusives direct which generates more revenue due to not selling to AD at discount. Regular editions go to retailers for less.
Not producing exclusives seems very strange to me.

Means I can buy for less locally so i'm happy. No Ex for the P2 Maquette thankyou, with a decent, low, ES :wink1:

I completely agree with you guys. You have to admit its a little strange that there is no exclusive variant in this line up. Traditionally an art print for this series would seem to be an easy and inexpensive add yet with an es of 6000 on MJ it doesnt exist? Somewhat peculiar to me... i think there is a level of resentment in certain collectors who missed out on the ex version and ss is trying to curb that.

Who knows. They MAY actually sell all of them if the edition size is what I think it'll be (based on MJ and Gwen). But it would definitely be awesome, especially IF we got something for 'Black and White' Friday.

Depends on when this actually ships

True. I'm just hoping we get something. Years back those events used to be so much fun, guessing what SSC would cook up.

If they make a symbiote variant it myth look amazing for this sculpt, but I bet there would be a lot of pissed off guys seeing as this one doesn't have an exclusive to soften the blow. Especially if they pull a super low ES on it like the White Storm.

If they want us to buy direct then EX should have to stick around.

I was hoping for two heads on this. Even if there is no EX give us two heads

ADs aren't getting near the discounts they use to meaning that SSC is getting an even bigger slice of the pie from them. I know it feels odd to have so much coming out with no Ex, but if you think about it the Hulk Maq and Galactus both came out with no Ex... So it seems like it isn't a completely alien practise. As for a COH ... Two days should tell the tale.

Well, anyway you slice it I don't have too much on my list left to get and I can be content. Right Spidey? :hi5:

Yep... I am almost done my list too, and then I can be content. I gotta see your collection some day.

It won't be jaw dropping for some...... but thats ok:wink1: I hope to get my room set up in a year or twos time. Once the kids become manageable.

Neither will mine m8, not even close, but I will LOVE it. I only need the characters I either have or have coming, and then I will be out... At least for awhile ....lol.

No doubt. I attempted to take a picture of my Besta some time ago with my iphone and the result was horrible. The LED lighting washed out every picture I took. So I will have to borrow my sister in laws DSL camera and get some shots all lit up. Should be sweet.

I will be taking some pics of what I have in a month or two, and then boxing them up till my wife and I build our custom unit in the basement. My boys' kitten is getting too daring as of late, and I have caught her looking at the shelf where my stuff is living... So to boxes they will go... At least for awhile. When you get those pics I want a sneak preview ... Lol.

I agree. Considering that most of us can get the REGULAR editions for less through different venues, they'd probably end up losing a lot of the direct sales. I have still ordered this Spiderman set through Sideshow thus far but may cancel and get it from an online retailer if it can be had for a lower cost.

It makes you wonder if Sideshow may be looking towards only distributing to retail outlets so they won't have to deal with us, the general public, directly.

Really hoping this was just a one-time situation this year and not something that they will adopt long-term.
