As for the IKEA besta unit shown on the last page, that's an interesting solution. I had considered something similar but I was worried about the structural integrity of the case if you put it on its side, and in any case I'm probably not handy enough to pull something like that off. The frustrating thing about Jabba's throne is that there are so few shelves that are big enough (particularly deep enough) to accommodate it. I have mine on top of 4 IKEA detolf cases placed side by side since that's the only place that seemed to work, especially once you add in other elements like the Han in Carbonite.

I feel pretty safe about the structural integrity of it. Why would you put the unit on its side? It is really easy to do once you get the screw holes placed on the unit using the little tool. I have no talent when it comes to stuff like this and I have a really hard time cutting anything straight with a saw. I can put them together though in under an hour. The only bad thing is you need to place another unit on top of it to hide the holes. I have also done something similar for the Speederbike PF and plan to do another one for my Dewback when he arrives.

Im working on a glass top coffee table of sorts. It would be an enclosed Throne Room from the entrace stairs to Han in carbonite long and from the BBQ back wall to the audience seating area wide. Its actully sketched out onto a 4x8 piece of sheetrock for now and looking at the table itself. I want to have it break down into two parts (4'x4') for moving.

I picked my Jabba and Throne (NIB)up a few years ago from a 501st member at Dragoncon for $200.00. I thought at that time it would be resold as I did not have the space. After unpacking the set, well I now have the space and wanting to make it a whole scene.

With the Jabba and Throne set holding or increasing value and getting grabbed up by the collectors, it could be encouraging for SS to really start pumping out characters of the Scum and Villany line. Just a wishful thougth.

Im displaying it now under a table I made for my MR Falcon. Eventually the display will get its own large display table and Yodas hutt will go under the Falcon.

I'm sorry, I meant what brand. Not all acrylics are made the same!

I think that was a fluke, the person had them auctioned together, they should have been separated, the auction ended at 11pm pst on a Sunday, and Jabba was missing his box. I wasn't even going to buy one, but with 2 seconds left on the auction I was like this is a steal.

I keep an eye on lots of auctions, almost all of them seem way undervalued until less than a minute left when they double in price, I don't bid on anything unless its 2 seconds left, eventually you catch that odd auction where the other bidders are off guard or snoozin.

Thx, yeah I have to agree, I recently acquired Bib, I could really go either way with him there or not.

But, I would actually like to get a gammy in there, and some of the creature packs.

Great paint job. Judging from this pic though, Jabba looks underscale by a lot. He might work well with the medicoms.
