Jabba 12" Image Thread

Ya, that's what I figured. I'm waiting for a 1/6 Palpatine/Throne to get here sometime next week since I figured they wouldn't even consider re-releasing Palpatine with so many thrones still in stock. I think it's been over 4 years for Jabba/throne right? I guess I'll go hunting for it and some previously released Jedi after SDCC shows us this upcoming year's 1/6 figures.

I would highly recommend paying attention to the FS threads here on the board. I've seen many people bundle Jabba, the Throne and other pieces and sell them for well below retail.

The set-up is totally awesome, but it is a space hog and kind of a pain to ship. So really if you're patient you could probably get a pretty good deal on a set.

TDA, there's a for sale thread over @ Rebel Scum and the seller has both Jabba and throne for $300.00 (yes, icruise, I admit you were right *hangs head*). The seller even has the Budo creature pack for another $45.00, so $345.00, you'd have an awesome set.

Also has an IG-88 exclusive that he's only selling for cost ($175.00), which seems pretty cool of him.

They weren't even opened yet! But man... I'm sure I haven't been the only one... but this throne is huge! I'm about to make a road trip to an IKEA next month to pick up some detolfs, but I'm unsure if his throne will even fit on top of a row of them. It's got to be about 40 pounds as well!

Now I just need a Salacious Crumb pack and a Bib Fortuna. I'll probably wait until sometime next year to pick them up. Got about 15 figures on preorder... most of them Hot Toys.

Holy nice swag score! When you figure out where to put that monster take some pics. Grats, this is something on my "want" list in the future when I have money, lol.

Thanks! I'll definitely post pictures of my collection soon. I think sometime at the end of July or early August when I make a road trip to Texas for some detolfs. Ikea's store inventory only showed 5 black detolfs in stock last week... And I need like 10+ lol

It fits fine on two side by side. I have my whole setup, including the Han in Carbonite and the archway, on four detolfs in a row.

Photo please! Did you have any long term problems with the weight? Was there room to place some creatures in front of the throne? Normally I'd be worried about dust, but there's not much fabric to worry about.

The only problem I have with this awesome Jabba/throne is the hose for his hookah! It's proving to be very difficult to get it to bend in a desired manner and maintain itself!

I thought I'd given up buying 1/6 Star Wars figures. But damn you, Sideshow Boba Fett, you got me hooked again!

Been wanting one of these ever since I saw him, but at the time I didn't feel like dropping a £100 on him. This one was only £48 delivered. Nobody else bid, so now I have to rearrange my glass cabinets to see how I can fit him in!


I know I'll want/need his throne as well, and that it's not going to be anywhere as cheap as this Jabba.

I'll put it this way. Jabba works just fine on his own. But if you're able to grab his throne, make to sure to grab at least one of the creature packs or you'll have too much noticeable empty space on your throne!

I don't think the weight is an issue. I've had it like this for at least a couple of years (aside from the archway, which is relatively new). The reprint looks better in person. The flash makes the colors a little weird, but my office is too dim to take a photo without a flash.

I've had both creature packs for some time. They were among my earlier buys.

I love Salacious Crumb, he's a great figure with a lot of character.

I discovered a while back that Hasbro's Rappertunie was closer to 1/6 scale, so he's on display, too.

Now that looks fantastic!

I think I might remove a Lego display and eventually have something like this.

They seem to cost about 4 times what I paid for Boushh, Bib, Luke Jedi and the Creatures.

Well, they're newer too, but you really need at least one. I have three detolfs together where I display Jabba. Got him two months ago for $50.00 shipped through eBay because he had some paint scratches on the head, back and tail which were easily touched up. He's displayed with Luke, Boushh, Bib and a Gammy as well as both creature packs. I'd like to add Han in Carbonite and Gartogg but I'm fine not having the throne.

You hit on a real bargain there!

I'd love to get the throne, but I can't justify the cost. There are two on Ebay at the moment, both at £450.

I don't really have the space to display it either. The top of my glass cabinets is already filled by a four-and-a-half foot long Jabba's palace for the 3 3/4" figures (which I never got around to coating/painting). And the palace roof is filled with Star Wars Lego.


My collecting interests are all over the place, and there are so many good things always on the horizon that catching up on older releases isn't easy.

Yes, as of 3:36 pm Eastern Standard Time on the 29th of June, 2012 the official ban on displaying ESB Fett with SSC Jabba as a *direct* inspiration of said print has now been lifted.
