Jabba 12" Image Thread

I'm in the midst of building out stairs to go on either side of Jabba's throne, using heavy florists' styrofoam.

Unfortunately, I ran out of paint this morning and have to wait for my girlfriend to return with another can before I can finish

My waitlist for Jabba and throne came through today, but I had to cancel because I already bought Jabba from a boardmember and the throne from a dealer. I would've loved the reward points for these items.

I should have waited, but all these damn photos in this thread made it hard. I jumped at the first Jabba and throne I could find.

Yea, my thing is I am not a 12" collector thou. I am just doing the P.F. line. However, the Jabba set looks so good it might actually tie in well with a P.F. collection....

This has got to be one of the finest 1/6 scale sets ever released. Unless you have the money and extra space for the Attakus setup, the Sideshow works just as well in a PF collection.

I should be picking up Jabba at the post office tomorrow and UPS should be delivering the throne on Friday.

Here's a little update on the hi-res background, I've finished texturing the scene, I have some rough shadows in just to distinguish the steps for now, I'll figure out the lighting for the scene later. Next step will be to add in the background elements (BBQ, various lights and panels on the wall, Jawa with Fan) then shadow and highlight the scene appropriately and should be done, sounds easy but there's still a fair ammount of work to be done, but it's coming.

Glad you guys are liking them. Painting is done; now comes the annoying waiting-until-they-dry-to-set-everything-up-and-see-how-it-all-looks-together bit (and that will be a while, too, because I put the paint on quite thick in some spots to vary the texture_.

It's looking GREAT metaphorge. As soon as this Jabba and throne combo was announced last year I knew I had to make the steps and archway to go with it...It's still a future project (Man, there's WAY too many future projects I'd like to get to...) Anyways, I'm excited to see how yours turns out. Add MaulFan's backdrop and you have one helluva sweet set-up there!!!
