Jabba 12" Image Thread

I'm surprised he didn't take a better picture of it! The Bubo photo is almost rivaling the Jabba photos! To be the first to announce something BEFORE Sideshow does is a rare privilage!

I can't really think what would come with Bubo though. I just hope Sideshow doesnt' plan on topping/adding to Jabba this year at SDCC by announcing a 1:6 Rancor! General Greivous, Vader, or Boba would suffice.

I just had a thought. Perhaps we have already ordered Bubo! Could that pic next to Crumb be the throne set? Could Bubo actually be included in the throne as an extra value/bonus for us that haven't canceld yet? I know this is a long shot, but Sideshow has included unannounced accessories in previous figures before, but nothing on the extent of this. Just a thought though since it seems odd there is no throne pics on any of the figures.

It would also please a lot of people though. I am sure you are right. They could have/should have announced it a long time ago to prevent cancelations if it was true.

Well showing other pictures on the back seems new with the Star Wars line for Sideshow, and I think because it's just an object not a character, they will treat environments as something that doesn't need to go on the package backs.

Being a Site exclusive could also factor into it since it wouldn't be available (and already sold out) in stores.

Wow... really surprised to see pics of Jabba already. He looks awesome! I'm not really worried about the box since he isn't really the same as other 1/6 figures, but I can understand frustrations.

But for me, Jabba's box and the throne box will all be tucked away. I can barely afford the space for Jabba let alone his boxes too

I'm so relieved that Jabba survived the production process relatively intact. He might need a touch-up here or there, but the overall look is very pleasing. It only just occured to me that, while I'm waiting for the throne, that little goblet is going to get a lot of play.

Can someone remind me what the dimensions of Jabba will be when on the throne? Height, width, length?

I don't remember Jabba ever holding that goblet in the palace or on the throne. I DO remember him having it during that bar/R-2 beverage serving scene. Can anyone clarify this?

You are correct, according to the product page:

The Sideshow Inclusive version of the Jabba the Hutt figure includes a unique accessory available nowhere else, the ornate cup that Jabba used to toast the demise of Luke, Han and Chewbacca at the Pit of Carkoon.

Hard to tell on that one Mikey, Sideshow's posted measurements don't add up really, but Jabba is 11.5" high, 20" wide and 12" deep, and SSC site says the throne is 16" high with Jabba (so 4.5" for the base), 29" wide 17" deep, but that would mean there's 9 inches of excess space around Jabba on the sides, and all the images of him on the throne suggest maybe 3" of execess space, so the dimension for Jabba or the throne or both are off, I would ballpark the throne at 24" wide, and the depth seems too much too, so I'd guess the depth on the throne is more like 14" or so, if the Jabba measurements are correct and he sits on the throne like the SDCC and SSC prototype images show.

The goblet is a fine item though because Jabba used it and it comes with him, it's not relative to whether he was atop his throne or not, it's just a character relative item, and short of the pieces on the throne, your bonus item choices would be a frog he eats or the goblet basically.

You know that makes sense now, I pretty much always considered the dimensions relative to the slab portion and forgot that to plan it's space, the gargoyle heads to factor in so that makes much more sense now.

I looked back and you are right. It looks like he is by himself. Possibly a single release? $15 for him? Though another creature pack is more likely!

I'd say another creature pack. That would be something they could do to keep folks calm till TF.

Well, I'm so anxious for the figure I did some investigation, and with Darth Maul, mine shipped like a week after the Chinese images hit, so maybe, with a little luck, Jabba might follow that pattern, wishful thinking.
