Not good enough by a mile. There's absolutely no lens distortion on any of those images - I'm an expert. What there is, is a slight exaggeration of the parts closest to the lens simply because of the proximity of the camera (lens) to the subject - that's not lens distortion however. But only ever so slight - look at the profile images and you can verify the proportions on the back scale (grid).

The proportions are off on this like so many others and it only has a flavor of Craig.

Yes as i know.In his pics it seems quiet o.k., but even he sad it's because of write angles for photos.If you want i can send photos how Simplz look with Nathans body.

The Simplz is out because of the size, BBKill is still a contender, if he can just get it out there and stop churning out prototype renders of other heads, if he carries on it'll be BBOverkill!

Clearer pics of the DID are needed, depending on where you go this may be a cheaper option. Everything else is either crap or too hard to find.

It's definitely cheaper, already painted for $60. The BBKill will be well over $100 painted - unless you paint it yourself of course.

Yeah, that's the thing, BBKill's will only look good if you can afford to get it painted or can do so yourself. I could paint one, but, next to all the HT, EB and Blitzway paint jobs it would be next to it'd stand out like a sore thumb and just won't look as good.

DID's paint apps are usually second to none, it's a pity however that the head isn't.

Still not ruling it out though......

bbkill would cost me $40-50 for the cast then another $150 to get it painted. That's around $200 for just the sculpt. Not really an option for me.

No need for pics, Gido, but thanks. I found some others online and its quite clearly too small.

So I'm back to hoping/praying DiD is good enough for me in-hand. I believe pixelpiper is correct on the minimal if any lens distortion. That elongated face is really bothering me now.

Maybe it'll cost $60+ for the cast and we can break $200 finished. When it actually looks like the sculpt is going to be made, I'll start looking at painting commission prices.

I had enough trouble painting BBKill's first Craig. On a good day I can knock a paint job out of the park, now though, I don't seem to have too many good days!

Getting it done for me is out of the question, as, like Wor-Gar, it's too pricey an option for me. Either I suddenly turn into Silentsurfer overnight, or I have to settle for the best ready painted head available, of which the DID could be the only choice.

We'll see.....

No, he doesn't, the colour versions you see in his posts are still in the computer. Sadly, 3D printing hasn't evolved enough to actually print a photo real colour texture onto the actual sculpt.

Granted there are printers that can do that sort of thing, but the results really lack resolution.

I have to say I'm upset based on the what I'm seeing so far.

I really liked the pictures used by DID to advertise & market the MI6 Jack and really thought it was a good enough likeness (IMHO) of Daniel Craig, but seeing the supposed in hand picture from the Hong Kong eBay seller is disappointing.

I already sent an e-mail to DID requesting a clarification & explanation regarding "WTF" is going on so to speak. I also posted the eBay auction link on DID's Facebook page requesting a clarification & explanation as well. I asked an online dealer I know who has/knows contacts @ DID to see if he can reach out "to the powers that be" to get an explanation. The same online dealer commented that he's pretty sure that the head sculpt pictures in the eBay auction is the actual DID production head (and very disappointing).

It's odd that some Hong Kong based eBay sellers are already stating that the figure is in hand/in stock & ready for delivery to the US, but asides from the eBay seller who selling the figure parted out . . . the other Hong Kong based sellers found to be selling the figure are only using the DID stock pictures only. I have a gut feeling that they too realized how $h^tty looking the head sculpt and they don't want to risk losing any sales and simply using the DID stock pictures as a subterfuge for the time being.

I did reach out to an eBay seller in Hong Kong to see if he can provide actual in hand pictures of the figure in the package and out of the package.

Otherwise, I'll continue to check eBay to see if any more China/Hong Kong sellers post the figure and see if any actual in hand pictures surface.

Eeesh. Not liking those pics, but that horrible fluorescent lighting can't be helping.

The idea of a $200 finished custom sculpt (head + paint) isn't appealing to me though.

Too bad the display of the DID agent was inside the shop. Not a outside window display. Couldn,t take a pic But iminime is stating a DC sculpt is in the pipe line so that will be a cheaper option I guess, if its anything like their original teaser it,ll rock. The simplz head is a good likeness but the shape of the head is not skyfall look and there is the size issue too small. we are getting closer though , Leia,s sculpt is a good effort .

Believe me, I'm trying to! LOL! Nice of you to post a pic of mine though, I thought I recognised the wallpaper!

Nearly all the Iminime heads I've seen are almost as undersized as the Simplz one, though their stuff gets praised so much that they never do anything about it. It's also another head that will cost a bomb in painted form.

It'll be a crying shame if the DID doesn't match the prototype as there will be nothing else that you'll be able to get in painted form for the money.

Does the iminime sculpt,s come under sized ? I hope not they are not cheap to buy. I haven,t bought any iminime head sculpts to compare, but I do have their cowboy fig on order. Looks like BBkills our best bet and the pic he posted was amazing, lets hope it comes out that way and correct head size for Craig,s . Body wise I tried out my toys city suit on a muscle body and it still fits perfectly, looks even better for a Skyfall Bond fig, just waiting for a good DC sculpt and presto!!!

Not quite sure what happened with the DID sculpt

When I first saw the prototype, I was elated.

Then I saw the solicitation picture and was disappointed but figured it looked ok enough to order.

Now that I see the in hand picture, it does not look good at all.
At least I purchased it for a reasonable price from Vantage Collectables and hopefully I will end up with a nice tux and body for a Connery sculpt.

On the above I would agree the sculpt looks good the painted version is not bad but the finished artical (if that is it) is quite awful. Personally I went for the ZWCO version with tux and am very pleased with it.
