Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Maybe if a bunch of us bought unpainted and request a painter to paint a batch can get a better deal? Any painter willing to offer their services , :D. This will be our grail DC bond :D

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

In case anyone missed BB's sample shot on a TT body, here it is, on a Joker TT.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I hope bbkill does release it. I really do. Out of all the Daniel Craig sculpts over the years it's one that's actually incredibly good.

Personally, if it does get released, I will have perfect representations of the 3 figures in my signature, all in one year! The dx12 with medicom cowl, art figures Statham with custom painted sculpt and a bond with bbkills sculpt!

On another note, I ordered my DID Craig sculpt yesterday, ill post my thoughts when it arrives.

Really curious for someone with in-hand knowledge to share what the reality is. I'm still gunning for the DiD as my Craig only because I just can't afford the custom paintwork the bbkill sculpt will deserve. I'd have to spend the same amount on just bbkill's painted sculpt as I would a completed DiD "Craig" Bond with the verycool tux.

That said, bbkill's sculpt is clearly the winner. Until Craig gets in some movie where they license the hell out of his face.

No problem my mate, ill try to be as informative as I can.

That sucks that you wouldn't be able to afford the paintwork for bbkill's sculpt. For me, ill find a way to get that head to someone such as Nathan, josh etc. it just deserves it. Ill sell a figure if I have to :lol Bond as a character is huge to me. I hope you find a way buddy!

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

The way I see it, it's going to be less expensive to have someone else paint it than to do it myself. I'd have to go out and get an airbrush (and small compressor), paints and solvents and then do a bunch of practice before I even started what I hoped to be the final paint app. I don't think I could do all that for $100-$120.

Would it be less expensive to use some other Craig-like head sculpt? Yep, and I already have a few of those. Time to sell them, which will go a decent way to paying for BB's whenever it's available.

Is that the finished casting? Face is looking a little to long there, just like his last effort. Digital sculpt looked pretty good but actual 3D prints never seem to match the perceived quality of the digital image. Recently got a casting from a digital print that was quite disappointing. Hope this turns out good for those who prefer this take.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

The other sample print photos are a lot better. And no, it's just a sample 3D print, not a cast at all. The color detail is part of the print process and is pretty unflattering as well. I'm not sure what BB's personal process is, but anything mechanically printed like this still needs to be cleaned up by hand, rubbing/smoothing down the production ridges and bumps, possibly adding additional detail using tools and more traditional modeling materials before making a cast.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Of curse we all wait for new Bbkills final result, but while that here is my Simplz with tt slim body in new verycooltoys tux.I'm afraid it will be to small for narrow shoulder body, because on slim it looks very accurate.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

BBKill's head painted up by Nathan will cost you well over $200. I asked for a quote. I had the money put aside until we adopted another puppy as I made mention earlier. We are closing on a house and I sacrificed my play money for her vaccinations/spaying while leaving the rest of our funds for the house. I would forgo all other subpar heads for that if I could. But it's no longer in the cards. After I get Selina/Catwoman, I'm most likely done with 1/6 collecting.

I really hope to see someone rich enough commission Nathan on this sculpt with a Kato suit. It'd be perfection.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

It really would. Kato is actually doing a skyfall bond figure with Sean ho sculpting the head. There have been no updates for a while, however.
