Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I agree, the loading toys head is poor, in my opinion. Feng's is the daddy and will remain so for the forseeable.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I was able to score the last grey TTL suit from Toys2 :yess:

I'm going to love changing this Connery Bond into that suit...

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Ok guys, i'm looking for some help.

I'm looking to update my SS Dr No Connery Bond. I'm quite happy with the sculpt, which i'm also going to have repainted, but with today's quality, I think the suit and the body are a bit lacking.

I haven't read all of this thread, but I was wondering what would you guys recommend as the best body and suit to change to? I want to keep the same style suit as the original though.

I don't do a lot of customising, so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. :peace

That's pretty much the ultimate mate!

The suit is from TTL and the head has been repainted I think.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

THats the Dr. No head repainted by elvis, on a hot toys body and a hot toys Clark Kent suit(new tie). Thanks for the compliment Platty. :peace

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Sorry forgot to mention you, feel like an a-hole

Great figure mate, the best.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Thanks mate, can you remind me, what is TTL?

And is that a HT body?
TTL is a company mate, just like Hot Toys. They made a grey suit similar to the one seen above.

The one seen above isn't ttl though it's in fact Hot Toys, taken from the superman figure. My bad.

Deckard should be answering, it's his figure! :lol

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Thanks guys! :rock

Right, I did a quick search and I found the suit. Now should I use a specific HT body? Regular? Slim? Does it matter?

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

For which suit mate, the TTL? I'd 100% suggest go with the Hot Toys Narrow shoulder or the actual TTL body. Can't go wrong with either. Standard true type is too big and the slim truetype is too small.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

No probs man, i've been doing my research on the TTL suits myself. After the blue one. I think it's near enough perfect for my custom which will be the scene in my sig pic. The pinstripes are only noticeable when the light shines on parts of his suit. Can't even see them properly in the blu ray if memory serves.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Just a question- did anyone here ever recast the Sideshow Pierce Brosnan head? Or does anyone have a Peirce Brosnan head (or nude figure) they want to part with? I need just the head for a custom figure I'm working on.

Recasting is a no no. :nono

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I would've loved to get the JAWS teeth to go along with my Richard Kiel signed autobiography and a signed Moonraker picture-- but unfortunately it's out of my price range... for now.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Well my Daniel Craig Bond collection grows. Thanks to bwayne for the new hs and my order from Toy Anxiety arrived simultaneously (Toms Forrest's coat and pants as well as a few others)... I still have to pad the Buck body and do some futzing but for right now I'm happy with the start of a Casino Royale Craig Bond straight off the plane landing at Nassau, Bahamas (yes the sunglasses, aren't exact-- but they were the best I could find at short notice).

Here's a scene from the film.

And here's my new custom:

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I think you have to spend a fair amount of time futzing with those clothes especially the pants... Mr Bond would not be caught dead with such poor tailoring. A good start though

also not sure the aviators are working. look for the glasses that came with brothers production Collateral Tom Cruise or even HT T-800
