D-breasted tux I also love!
Navy or tux-best choices!

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I am getting the sculpt and would sign up in a moment for either the double breasted tux or the uniform.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Look, I'll be honest - I'll take whatever we get ;) If I had my vote, though, it'd be for anything besides the safari jacket. Always hated those :)

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

If they make Dalton in a dinner jacket, it must have the velcro lapels.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I think it might be very difficult to find a suit for Moore that everyone can agree on. Unlike Connery's grey suit, Moore never had that one amazing suit that really captured him and the era so... tastefully.

However, as many people who collect Bond tend to go the tuxedo route, it does seem to make more sense to make a 1/6th Moore in his most flattering and probably most memorable tuxedo -- the midnight blue double-breasted tuxedo from Spy Who Loved Me -- as it would sit will with those Craig Skyfall Tuxedo figures and those Connery Dr. No Tuxedo figures.

So.... People didn't like Spectre? I thought it was awesome. Better than QoS, still didn't top CR. I don't know how I'll rank it with Skyfall. I think they're on par. That Eleven sculpt can't come soon enough!

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Seems like most've that talk has been over in the Spectre thread. I for one liked it better than Skyfall...maybe better than CR. CR is a better overall film, but Spectre's a better BOND film. If that makes sense.

I know what you mean by that. I described it as Craig's most "Bondish" outing to friends. I haven't made it to the movie section yet. So much negativity over there usually. This Bond thread is the most civil place on all of SSF I have encountered.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

What's this Eleven sculpt? I'm looking forward to that Ace Toyz figure?

I thought it was pretty good too, with the exception of Christolph Waltz. He's such an awesome actor but his character was boring. I'd rank it right below Casino Royale, and it was much better than QoS. Never have liked that movie.

I guess I need to give it another watch, because right now I have to agree with a lot of the critics. After that great opening in Mexico the movie just seemed to plod along without much sense of urgency, and by the time Bond finally uncovers the truth about Spectre it ends up being not that interesting of a villain (in fact I was actually a lot more intrigued by Quantum in the previous movies). And that entire last act was just completely nonsensical:
Blofeld drilling into Bond's head to... erase memories?, the entire base blowing up for no reason, Bond shooting a military helicopter out of the sky with a pistol, etc...

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Here's why the Double-Breasted style -- especially in a tuxedo -- is just so Roger Moore...

Can you tell I'm obsessing?

(and yes, I just caught my spelling mistake. Damn!)
