Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Craig is lethal, feels like a highly trained agent with style. Jumps from the roof into the train and immediately adjusts his jacket.

This! LOVE that part. Also, seemed a little bit of a homage to Brosnan when he was driving the tank and adjusted his tie.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Connery (Goldfinger)
Craig (CR)
Brosnan (Goldeneye)
Moore (TSWLM)
Dalton (TLD)
Lazenby (OHMSS)
My top list with their best moments as bond

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Guys, anyone here have the modern life HS and can share some pics? Do you guys think the modern life hs is better than the Bbkill's?

As far as I know, no one has the Modern Life sculpt yet. It's only been available on eBay for a short time and has gone for close to $300. From pictures, though? I think the ML head is a better likeness than the BBkill sculpt.

I'll let you know in January!:)

Since I said that Toria and ML had scammed me, she gently PMed me and offered a refund. I told her I'd rather have a Craig and got one for a reduced price, so, provided it's actually released, I'll let you guys know.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Yeah the Dalton movies are hugely underrated I think, and actually seem to work a lot better now than they did back then, since we're so used to a darker and edgier Bond now.

I remembered I was extremely disappointed when they announced Brosnan. I instantly fell in love with Dalton's Bond. He was some sort of proto-Craig. The guy was lethal, without too much humor. Just the way I picture Bond.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Brosnan had been rumored since the 80's due to Remington Steele and I always thought, "naaa..." Then one day it happened and I was like, "ok, this can work" - but the results for me were a too stiff bond - and I like (all the way to "really like") Brosnan in so many other roles.

I can just imagine how it was for my Dad when Moore first played Bond. "WTF, The Saint is Bond now?"

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

On Sky german pay TV is a "bond special" now.So you can see all Bondfilms in HD.
I saw them all now and must say the best Bond is "The Spy who loved me" with Roger Moore. This bond has a great story, great bad guys, sweet bondgirls and the diving car!Its from 1977 but I think today also nice to see.

Got my "Jaws teeth" Artist proof this week...awesome prop!:clap

I also like Daniel Graig and Pierce Brosman as Bond. The Connery Movies are a little bit to old for my taste.

I agree (not on order but on film choices), though I'd put Spy Who Loved Me in top spot for Moore... even as much as that film really ushered in the overdone comic beats of the Moore era.

I like LALD but it doesn't feel like a Bond movie until the last 5 minutes.

Fair enough

Here's why I think Connery was at the top of his game in Thunderball:

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Connery is just tough to beat as Bond (suave, sarcastic and dangerous -- no other Bond can claim all three attributes).

The only way I can understand not putting him at the top is if you came of age in the 90's and those movies are just too antiquated for you.

Though, I believe FRWL and Goldfinger still hold up very well (even Goldfinger seems grounded compared to later excesses).

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

We all wish the stunts and production values of these older movies were up to current standards, but when you take them in stride with the time, I agree, how can you not put Connery at the top?

I really like it of course but Vimal is a buddy of mine and he's done lots of sculpts for me so I'm biased. I think it's a great Craig with lots of detail that the Bbkill sculpt lacks. The only downside to the ML sculpt is it might look a bit too old for Skyfall Craig
