Though I am loathe to admit that "The View" was on TV in my house for even five minutes I heard them mention Avatar from the other room so I went in to see what ridiculous thing they were saying about it.

Barbara Walters mentioned that she couldn't help but notice that the "evil" forces were English speaking white capitalists. Then one of them made mention of the fact that some people were taking issue with the fact that a white person helped lead the native forces to victory.

Even Whoopi Goldberg laughed and said something to the effect of, "So white people can't be the bad guys but if they're not the bad guys then that's racist too. They just can't win!"

People have been saying that the Real 3D is better than the Imax because the Imax is too big making the picture too "fuzzy".

but since those aren't making millions nobody makes a big deal about them...

A female lead falling for a female Na'vi...now that adds a lot of layers to the story. They know they have never felt a connection like this before, but the Omatacaya are not open-minded. Chaos ensues! Lesbians!

Don't forget that it was also supposed to feature two and a half hours of incoherent images and sounds that no one has ever seen or heard before. An orgy of originality, if you will.
