Actually, I was going to use my excessive refund (I'm adjusting my withholding so I'll get less back next year) to pay to take my son and daughter to Disney World ... but I think I'll buy 150 copies of Avatar on DVD instead.

Good for you. Why in the world are you this worked up about Avatar? You've flown off on a tirade throwing around insults like some half-wit because people dared dislike your precious little blue-people movie? Its just a movie ... and not even a particularly good movie. You like it. Fine. Others don't. Fine. You can't account for taste.

Get a grip, man. It is hissy-fits like these that probably won you the "avatard" title.

Because it's annoying coming into a thread to get some geniuine info
about DVD release etc and I have to read through stupid comments. Seriously. I don't think anyone has said anything as obsessively positive in comparison to people are obsessively bashing it.

That's fine. People can think what they like but please don't
flood a thread full of the same negative _____

Who cares? The really cool thing about this forum is you don't have to read every post. Ignore the ones you don't like. If you and Wez didn't respond so often (and so hilariously), those that are "bashing" it wouldn't have anyone to argue with.

They're yanking your chain, and you bite every time ... and then you complain that they keep poking at you. My little sister didn't even take this long to figure out that people will stop poking at you when you stop getting worked up about it.

There is nothing cool about any forum. We collect movie collectibles. We are essentially geeks. Nothing cool about it.

I've given up on this thread ages ago. Same few haters posting the same crap over and over and over. Must be a post count thing. Looking forward to Blu Ray release on the 26th.

then why are you here? :rotfl

Because I'm not trying to be cool. I don't care of people think I'm a geek by coming on here or collecting things. There was a time when threads were civilised and could talk about things sensibly. Recently every single thread is flooded with petty arguements. The thing is no one really knows what people are like in person and I'm sure most people would get on if they actually met. It's funny that I'm the one with the attitude
problem, when I'm trying to point out whats going wrong

Is it the 26th where you are? I thought it was being released this Thursday (22th).

Well Avatar is the highest grossing movie of all time, it is bound to have haters.

Though I shouldn't open this can of worms again, it's really still Gone With the Wind as of March of this year when adjusted for inflation.

I'm not getting this version of the film knowing that there will be another coming in the fall. If it would be next year or longer, then maybe.

Yes this is a can of worms, since the high cost of 3D, plus different times, no home theater/DVD etc. I was simply speaking about money obviously, and Titanic had haters as well.
