I was just wondering...I'm waitin til november anyway

Me too. If there was a neat freebie or exclusive with this one, I might've gotten it. But since it's bare bones and no freebie.....nah. I've checked all the ads to different stores and though they advertise the DVDs and blues, they mention nothing else with it.

maybe they'll have somethin later this year

I am because I don't want to buy this twice. LotR.......yes. This.......no. The other version wil be out in November where the LotR extendeds will be a couple of years yet.

Your right but beside's the extended scene's what other extras do they have ?

BB was crazy for the TDK release at midnight, and I picked up the Batpod and Deluxe Blu-ray with Joker Mask. There was a long line of 50 or so people. It was fun but I do not really want to do that again I guess. I just like being first for a lot of things.

Well, there's no special version or exclusive so there's no point in trying to get it early.

Plus I'm in a crappy town and I doubt that there's many people here lining up at the local Wal-mart for Avatar on Blu-Ray

There are people that actually have this already, how the hell did they get this early ?

Stores have probably had this sitting in their back rooms for about a week. When I worked at EB ages ago we would sometimes get games a week in advance. The store manager was bad ass and he would let the employees take them home. He would make us pre-order in full though. The day it came out he just processed all of pre-orders. He was later fired when he moved to a different store and was caught stealing Pokemon cards. :lol

I have the Extended DVDs too, but I still bought the rays. :lol

I guess I'm a Ringtard! :banana

I'm a ringtard too! :woo I have all 3 versions of the DVDs that came out. :duh But I wanted all the special features - so I had to get them all. :lol Now I will probably by the darn bluray just cause I don't have the patience to wait a year or more for the extended. :monkey2 Damn them! :cuss I of course will have to get the extended as well when that comes out - that will be 5 sets of LOTR movies. Total ringtard.

Avatar however, I can wait a few more months for the extended. I enjoyed the movie, but I'm not going to buy more than one version of it.

I want lord of the rings on bluray as well, when is the official release for the bluray for the lord of the rings.

The theatrical version is already out....not sure when the extended is coming out...but it's going to be awhile, from what I hear.

I've said it before, but there's a plus side to that. No extras means more space for the movie, means (at least theoretically) better pq and aq. I've seen bits and pieces of the blu and it looks amazing, pandora scenes especially are looking great, AVC encoding and it went up to 43mbps.

So, in a nutshell, you're saying that if there's alot of extras for the movie, that the movie itself won't look as good? I've never heard of that.

I'd like to find somewhere on line that lists out every single extra that's on all of the discs to see if I'm missing anything.
