I didn't see the movie in a theater, I picked up the DVD to watch, but so far, I still can't find the courage to watch it. Everybody says it's great, so I have to watch it, but the trailer was so bad!!!

I suppose that's one of those film I'll eventually watch when I have nothing else to watch!

I never buy the "better in the theatre" arguement. A movie is a movie. It's made to be watched. It should be just as good on a 13 inch old tubed TV as it is on an IMAX screen.

I said the movie was good. I enjoyed it, but as I also said the story was rehashed material. It wasn't "told" in any different way then any other movie. Almost everything that comes out today is rehashed from something else so I am not placing any blame on JC there. I'm just giving y opinion on the film.

Good yes......Groundbreaking and worthy being put in the top 10 films ever made? Not IMO.

the same could be said with the whole Blu ray/DVD debate...it's still the same movie :huh

I see your point in general and in regards to a good movie.

But I have to disagree a little because there are some pure popcorn flicks out there that are only worth watching for the SFX. To me, they are only worth watching on the big screen and with full sound. Otherwise, I'm not interested.

Ya know when you watch a movie and at the end it says "no animals were harmed"?

That's what I do. I go to film, tv and commercials to monitor the animal action so all the critters stay safe. I'm an on-call rep for American Humane.

:D

You rock!!! :rock

I know the trailer sucked haha. But with bluray and great sound its awesome.

The dark knight fans did the same thing too.:D
Yes I know. I was there, and a part of the whole stupid thing. I still love the movie...but looking back...ugh.

It was better seeing it on December 18th. That's it. Because there was hype, but no over top bull____ praise the movie got. No "OMGZ BETS MOVIERRR EVERRRR". None of that. Avatar was called "gay" and "lame" looking. I missed that. :monkey4

Glad to see some people have grown up. I just saw this on blu ray. I thought the story was ok but script was really cringe worthy. I did however enjoy the movie for it's amazing visuals tho. How any one can say the effects were lame or it looked lame is in serious denial because the animation is pretty much flawless. At the end of the movie I cared for most of the characters. Zoe Saldana was superb in this.

At this point, anyone who hasn't seen this movie, just boggles my mind....

You're my hero, Sam! :hi5:

*No animals were harmed during the making of this post. :wave

Some people don't care to see what happens to be a mediocre movie covered up by great visual effects? :dunno

Movies are ____ing expensive dude. And not to mention the annoying people. So I dont blame people for not watching it in the theater.

One of the main reasons i hardly go to the cinema or if i do i let the rush die down first.

Thats only for people who insist on seeing movie on a Friday/Saturday night opening weekend and feel the need to throw money away at the snack bar. I go to a couple movies a week usually and only spend $4.50 a pop.

No crap from the snack bar and midday shows=no people & little money spent. :pfft:

I NEVER go on Friday or Saturday nights, no way. Too many teenagers goofing around. I usually go Sunday afternoons. It's cheaper and not as many people. I do hit the snack bar because I bought one of those plastic buckets for $6 and can refill it all year for nada. :yess:
