Very impressive but in my mind the most amazing shot in film history is the nearly three minute unbroken sequence featured during the shootout at the end of John Woo's Hard Boiled. They have a shootout, enter an elevator, have a conversation, then the elevator doors open and they have another shootout on another floor, without a single cut. Amazing.

That shot is amazing, love that movie! :rock

The dark knight fans did the same thing too.:D
The Dark Knight fans were much, much worse. UGH. :monkey4

Ya know when you watch a movie and at the end it says "no animals were harmed"?

That's what I do. I go to film, tv and commercials to monitor the animal action so all the critters stay safe. I'm an on-call rep for American Humane.

:D
That is awesome Sam!!

Thats only for people who insist on seeing movie on a Friday/Saturday night opening weekend and feel the need to throw money away at the snack bar. I go to a couple movies a week usually and only spend $4.50 a pop.

No crap from the snack bar and midday shows=no people & little money spent. :pfft:

:clap Yep, cheap Tuesday here, Matinees, sneak your own snacks in. Lots of cheap ways.

Some people don't care to see what happens to be a mediocre movie covered up by great visual effects? :dunno

If they don't like cool visuals or effects or creatures and characters, then why are they posting on a collectibles board (which by the way, if you can afford 300 dollar 12 inch figures, or PF's, then a movie shouldn't be that hard to go see, even if it is 12 bucks for 3D), that makes products from movies with visual effects and what not, and let alone, posting in the movie section, of the collectible board. lol
:) That alone leads me to believe everyone here has seen and can afford to see this movie once, with the intended gimmick it came out with in the first place - a 3D movie theatre experience.
And yes, I'm saying this with a smile on my face, cause I'm just messing around :)

:lecture
I usually go on Saturday or Sundays to the matinee, $5.50 or $6.00 depending on the theater... I do buy a small Pop Corn, but bring my own soda... :D

BTW, I just got the BD of Avatar and saw it last night...
seriously, this has to be THE single best Home-video experience I've ever had... (aside from some porn... :lol)
The video is breath-taking, and the audio is equally amazing...
This is THE movie for BD and HD!!! :rock!

The movie Cameron should've made ...

You guys paying $4 for matinee movies...are your theaters the crappiest theaters in the world or what? The matinee here is $8.50 and regular priced tickets $10.50...but the theater is bad ass.

Not crappy at all. They're fairly new. The one still has that new car smell. :lol

At one theater (Cinemark), on Mondays they have matinee pricing all day for Seniors. On Tuesdays they have that pricing all day for anyone. All the other days the first showing is $4, any showing till 6 is $5.50 and after 6 is $7.50. The only thing it doesn't have is 3D, so I have to go to another one (Carmike) that is a bit more pricey. Both have very small concession stands but that's okay.

The going rate for a movie session here in Australia is $17.50
(15.85 USD) And every Tuesday $9.00. Tite ass Tuesday's we
call it.
USA seems to have it very good.

Supposedly, our theaters make most of their money from concessions. Are your's real high?
