Just watched this again for the first time since I saw it opening night in 3-D Imax. It premiered on HBO tonight.

Still an amazing movie. So, so awesome. Love it so much. And the visuals transferred really well to non-3D HD. I was very happy about that.

Now I need some Avatar collectibles please. C'mon Hot Toys. I lookin' at you!

I cant believe HBO gave it a 4 star rating. ____ing lord....

Then again, TDK does have a 4 star rating as well....so I dunno.

Yeah you'd think it was a Best Picture nominee or something.

Anyway not sure if its common knowledge or not but I just came across a video of Michael Biehn stating that he auditioned for Quaritch and it came down to him and Lang. Biehn stated that once Sigourney was cast Cameron decided to go with Lang to separate to avoid having two principal actors from Aliens in the same movie again.

Biehn's the man but I can't imagine him doing as good a job as Lang.

Jeez :slap 2-3 more movies really? I guess Cameron wants to fill up his hidden cave with more money. I wonder what movie he'll rip off to right the story for these movies. Maybe Lord of the Rings or Pocahontas 2.

Well you know not to go see it then.
So he won't get your money or anybody elses who hated the first movie

I ordered the STEELBOOK version overseas! Seems like an Asia exclusive. Definetly wanted to get a nice collectible package for one of the biggest movies ever and one of my faves. :yess:

I loves me Steelbook collectibles. :hi5:

Personally I'm a bit wary of getting the Extended version...

Both Terminator 2 and Aliens extended versions detracted from the originals IMO.

I actually thought the first movie was a HUGE let down and totally ripped off various other stories.

HOWEVER, that said I actually have high hopes for the sequel. My guess is they will be far more original than the first story. At least thats what I'm hoping for.

For me, just like LOTR, the Extended Collector's edition is only way to see this movie now.

I didn't buy the initial Avatar Blu-ray/DVD release in anticipation of this weeks upcoming special edition. I'm curious to see how the extended cut adds to the film/story.

Probaly alot more and i cant wait to see certain scene's in the movie. I have to wait for xmas to get it tho lol.

I'm double dipping. I bought the initial version when it came out in April. JC took extra time on it to make sure the blu-ray came out with the best possible video and audio quality, and it didn't disappoint. I only hope this release is just as good of quality, because the previous version almost had no more room on the disc for extras. So hopefully with the additional footage added to the movie it doesn't take away from the quality. The extras will all have to be on the other discs. I'm excited to get it because I thought the additional footage was awesome.
