The new trailer looks outstanding! :rock

I think the CGI looks great.

I really thought don't see this being as big as some people are thinking. I'm sure sci-fi fans will love this but IMO it doesn't have much crossover appeal to "Joe Public."

I don't understand how you can say that.

I just watched the trailed on FOX and it was Very impressive.

We are talking about James Cameron, this film will be BIG, not Titantic big, but still VERY BIG.

That's exactly what I think. I have friends who have already said they won't be seeing it due to the amount of CG used. Yes, I have some lame friends. One of them hates any movie with CG because she can spot CG so well, it distracts her and takes her out of the experience. She doesn't like Star Wars and Lord of the Rings for that reason. I even offered to pay for her ticket if she'd go see Avatar with me, and she refused.

So she doesn't watch any pixar movies either? Maybe she can spot the CG too easily. :D

I don't care for the CG still. However, you cannot deny that the 3 minute trailer today looked pretty damn cool. I can't wait to see it. I think in 3D it will work. :rock

Hell friggin yes!

Unfortunately if you don't like CG you better stop seeing movies then because honestly that is the way the film industry is heading.

Like James Cameron said in Entourage..."in a few years we won't even need actors anymore."

God I hope it doesn't go that direction. They won't be there IMO for another 20 or so years. The CG is good but it isn't that good.

Oh yea most definitely it won't be a for a while but unfortunately I think that is how things are going. I agree that I don't want it that direction, only for very specific movies.

Lets reserve that last remark till the dollars come rolling in because they have built tons of 3d and imax theaters in the last couple years and people pay more for a 3d ticket so the chances of this being the biggest of all time are def not off the table.

I just purchased the midnight showing on DEC 17th on a Cinemark theater called XD3! Basically there are only 3 in Texas and its a 70ft wide screen wall to wall with 30 JBL speakers showing it in 3d. Check out your area as you might have one as well.

Went to the Dallas Cowboy game today and saw the trailer on the largest screen in the world in HD! It was rediculously awesome.

Cameron did a radio interview talking about how this is part of the new marketing strategy. Fox showing it during the game, on the screen, during the world series. He said this way more people will see the trailer than will ever see the movie but will be exposed to it.

I haven't really heard much about this movie and saw the trailer today. I can honestly say I am looking forward to this movie so much and will definitely see it on the big screen.

From the trailer I think the CG works and looks really good. I think they would be hard pressed to make this SciFi / Fantasy world
work without the heavy use of CGI.

The more I watch tha trailer the more I am blown away. Once u get used to it and accept the aliens look and feel, it just seems really amazing put together. You can even see the subtle facial expressions and stuff. From what I've seen so far, it just might be the best CGI showcase in a movie to date. Only time will tell, when we see the full final film in it's entirety.

Less than 2 months!

Here is a video of the comparison of some select scenes from the teaser trailer as opposed to the new trailer
