Jazzinc 1/6 Batman 1989 Batmobile

I’ve seen his son on one of the 1966 batmobile unboxing videos, and I believe his father is co-signing on the numbered edition plates. As you said, it’s really special to witness the birth of a family business.

I’m hopeful he does well with the figures, I’m just not convinced that’s his forte. But, if anyone can pull it off, it’s Joost.

Not exactly…..look at what the blitzway ecto-1 is worth on the aftermarket now…. If you can afford it why not.

And the fact you can follow all the development from the beginning and can interact with the maker is just awesome.

Hot toys buyers know what they're getting into, it's a straight re release that collctors were happy with the first time round. At their price point it will still be very impressive IMO

The importance of the paint is something joost is very aware of, however. He even pointed out that it's very layered, under some light it appears green, under others a subtle purple

Mentioned a '97 Freeze and the Returns villains.

By his logic of buying only what you need, we should all be riding the bus and living in caves. To me, it just comes across as a bunch of noise to compensate for what may be his own restricted economic position, which really isn’t anyone’s problem or business but his.

No doubt there will be all kinds of justifications bandied about for any given purchase made (or purchase not made) by any given individual, but if someone needs to be reassured by an anonymous internet crowd, that's their prerogative. It’s sad, but it happens all the time.

Unfortunately for danoby2, neither my wants nor my purchasing decisions are encumbered by any of his opinions, so it doesn’t bother me in the least to purchase what I want.

It shouldn’t bother anyone else, either.

He's very down to earth and open and honest, I probably won't get this 89 batmobile but I will keep up to date on his future projects as at least I know he will deliver. If he made something from blade runner I'd have to go for that, I assume the licencing is an issue though, and I doubt it would make any money TBH

But I’m certain that the Joost’s one is gonna be stunning. A very unique piece for 89 enthusiasts. A real 1/6 replica with the feeling of a real car.
After the demonstration of the 66 Batmobile and 89 Batwing, I’m confident it’s gonna be the most awesome Batmobile ever made…

It’s all perspective really. Im sure the vast majority of people think we're insane for spending $300 on 12" action figures. To most $800 is absurd for a plastic car.

The 600 $ HT one seemed already to me a luxury hard to justify.
A decade later, I ordered a Batmobile near as expensive as the Batmobile…

The thing I like with the Joost’s one is that it’s a one shot.
I mean, with the HT reissue, I’m happy for those who missed the 1st one but in the meantime, it has the effect of desacralizing a little the pleasure of possessing a particular object.
I mean, this big vehicle, in this massive (but impractical) box with the cocoon, it was something special and if you had the chance to pair with DX08 and DX09, it was one of the sickest trio ever made in this hobby.
I know it could appear selfish and I apologize but always felt reissue as a slap in face to original owners.

This Jazzinc ultimate signature edition will remain a rare and unique item and hold its value.
Once it’s sold, it’s over. No reissue.
I paid extra $ also for this particular feeling to own something really special.

The collecting world is much wider than many here believe.

JazzInc & Joost have been around for years, and had met a demand that no one knew that they wanted or needed, with his unlicensed Star Wars dioramas/vehicles for the 1/6 community. They were relatively pricey, but for anyone who could afford them, it definitely raised the quality of one’s displays in leaps and bounds.

Now we have him producing licensed Batman vehicles, and whether you like it or not, they are probably more accurate, but also more expensive than the competition. I’m not saying that Hot Toys couldn’t have done better, I’m sure they could have and at a cheaper price point too. But they made a business decision to be lazy, while at the same time to be financially responsible to make the most money which is definitely their choice to make. JazzInc unfortunately had to start from scratch, from development all the way to production, while Hot Toys are simply reusing inaccurate mold designs used previously. And because of JazzInc’s lower edition sizes, his productions costs are spread over a much narrower amount of produced pieces, which unfortunately leads to them being more expensive because of his limited reach.

Many here only collect Hot Toys, and nothing else, which has restricted their view on what is out there. In addition to these figures, I also collect statues and the like, which also has their own price ranges among manufacturers. You have Sideshow at the lower budget end of the spectrum, all the way to the more expensive brands of Queen Studios and JND, and with Iron Studios, XM, Prime 1 and many more in between. So at one end you have collectors spending $600 for 1/4 scale premium formats all the way to life size silicone busts which are currently running me for just shy of $4K per piece before shipping and other costs. And there are obviously even more expensive items with full life size statues which can run you anywhere from $10 to $20K for a single licensed piece, such as the $19,999.00 Chewbacca from Regal Robot.

Danoby2 can be an arse at times. I find that he can be as tight in his opinions, as much as Justin is loose in his. They’re just opposite ends on the same spectrum; where one likes only things in his limited view, whereas the other loves anything and everything.

He has to love most anything since he has a business arrangement with Toys Wonderland (despite not outright disclosing it, though it’s pretty clear).

With some very rare exceptions, he’s not going to be negative about a figure since that could affect sales.

He could also genuinely just like everything he says he does, but it’s impossible to know. Not that it matters. I don’t begrudge his hustle and I don’t think he’s a bad guy by any stretch but it is basis for some heavy bias.
