Not such an Ambiguously Gay Duo!

Hey Joost!

What’s the chance we can convince you to offer a pink & white alternate paint job on the ‘68 Batmobile? I’d buy two of those!

And you wouldn’t have to mention Barbie! This licensed toy only mentions Batman. Barbie fans would know, though. Any standard issue Barbie would fit, although there are Batgirl and Catwoman variants of Barbie, too.

Think about it. Please.

Well Barbies tend to be outrageously out of scale with whatever she drives, hence they look so goofy - https://www.collectorfreaks.com/threads/strange-1-6-mystery-barbies-pink-cadillac.246153/#post-10726656
Her feet would be in the engine block, and her face catching bugs.

The scale is not really a problem here.

Problem, what problem?

For me it's not the scale, it's how stiff and unnatural they always look, perhaps because they don't sink into the seats the way a real person would.

Plus I just find it distracts from the car itself.

Would be accurate to the movie haha

Received my shipping invoice. 178$.
As I’m in Europe, it will be shipped from Netherlands.
It’s scheduled for the 1st week of December even if my account says October 31.
Not a big deal. It’s gonna be my Christmas present…Can’t wait!

What batch are you in?

My ‘89 was also scheduled to ship October 31 but I haven’t heard anything from Jazzinc yet.

Ok my shipping date has moved from October 31 to November 30 on my account.
For info I ordered on 2023 February 3 rd.

Yeah, mine has been pushed back to January 14th as well. This is the third delay in the last couple of months. A little heads up this time would have been nice, but Joost is probably too busy right now prepping the launch of the Pfeiffer Catwoman to cut a video explaining the additional delay (not a dig, he can't do everything at the same time). At this rate I might get it in time for my birthday in May lol...

Damn, I went from Dec. 17th to Jan. 30th. When I ordered it was supposed to ship in Sept. of this year. Any reason given for this newest delay?

I got an explanation from Joost. Basically things are taking longer than expected. (I’ll also speculate that he has a million things juggled up in the air at the moment. That is a good thing for all of us collectors, btw.)

Personally I’m glad he decided to not ship so close to Xmas. Holiday mail is the worst!

Just be patient. It will be worth the extra wait.

True, I’m not tripping too much. I have way too many expenses this next couple of months and also a long trip in three weeks. Not prepared for the shipping invoice yet.

After seeing the issues, and the "welp, it is what it is" type of response...

This is basically the straw that broke the poor camel's back, for me. I'm so sorry, guys.
I canceled myself. The dents ultimately did it for me but there are plenty of other issues: The semi-gloss finish; the silver bullets; the copper wheels which should be silver; the emblems that won't attach as designed; the guns that don't function as designed so they need felt in the bottom chambers to stand up; the red accents on the side pods, which are inaccurate; the canopy that doesn't completely close; the over-scaled silver mesh everywhere where it should be black (they had it right in the prototype); the gauges that light up and shouldn't; and the questionable segmented construction (in time, is this thing literally going to come apart at the seams??) Ultimately, I concluded that this piece would give me more anxiety than enjoyment. Not for me but I guess it's good to have options. I hope those who get it are pleased with it. I'll either nab the Hot Toys reissue or do without.

I fully understand your point of view. It’s an expensive prop, you have to be satisfied with your purchase.
I can hear all the arguments above but, and it’s only my personal opinion, I can’t understand how someone can still claim that the rims should be silver since we know that Joost had access to the original source material and after that:
