Nothing shown makes me go, "Wow, what an upgrade vs. the HT version," especially for that price difference. To my eyes, it is just slightly bigger. If that is an upgrade worth 1K+, more power to you.
According to the official Making Of book, the 89 Batmobile is 19ft 6 inches which is 234 inches total. Assuming 19 feet 6 inches is correct, 234 divided by 6 would be 39 inches in length for a true 1/6 scale...which is the length of the Hot Toys version, whereas the Jazz is 43.

I think the Jazz is slightly oversized but has the more accurate shape and proportions. The issue with the Hot Toys version is the rear of the vehicle is too large which makes the front of it look too short. However, it has the correct footprint for a true 1/6 scale.

All that said, I would rather have it be a bit too large but with accurate shapes and proportions.

For most people I think the Hot Toys version gets the job done, and the proportions issue isn't really noticeable if you display it at a slight angle, but credit where credit is due: The Jazz version nailed the shape and proportions of the 89. And many vehicles + figures aren't true 1/6 scale anyhow.

So, you’re trusting a book’s data rather than the 3D scan of the original hero vehicle that Joost used?

Woe is me! It’s the Death of Science, I tell ye.
The death of science…

I don’t know. For me, it comes down to the sheen. I’m seeing these unboxing videos and it’s like I’m a kid again, seeing that car pull into the alley for the first time on VHS. The shape, the size; I know there are still things that aren’t perfect, like the machine gun belts (in fairness, I wouldn’t, if it weren’t for all you OCD bastards drawing my attention to it :lol), but, in my brain? That is the car. Waaaaaaaay out of my price range, at the moment, but I still hopped on Jazzinc and the DC shop’s waitlists because I figured “**** it. At least, if you get the shot, you can decide then.”

Seriously, though: Anybody who got this thing should be damn happy with it because, as much as I value accuracy and practicality and all the **** we like to think about as adults with expendable income and time to obsess, there’s still that part of my brain that sees this thing the way my 5-year old self would and that part of my brain thinks it’s downright magical.

What's worse impact, the return of flat-earth theory, or the discovery of dimples on a $1.5k Bat toy? :lol
It’s gotta be the dimples, right? I mean, we already know the earth is flat… science has proven it. Just google “Joe Rogan Batmobile”. You’ll find your answers.
Hey I tried deleting that, thought better to stay out of it, yet there we are. Can't argue with the science. :lol
