very cool display!

looks great! just wish they would have worked out all those creases and dents... really detracts from look. originally had high hopes that they wouldn't be very visible but the more pics and videos i see (not under harsh light, just normal stuff) they show up in any reflections, and are very distracting to me.

You can really see the orange peel in the paint in those pics. Still, you probably won't notice that unless the light hits it just right

Don’t forget that Joost, even if he’s now licensed, can still be considered as a prop maker.
His manufacturing ressources are so limited compared to a giant like HT.
It’s a small run compared to big companies.
Nothing is perfect and you will always find little imperfections on a prop maker item.
But the accuracy and attention to details are so much better in every way.

Paint can easily make or break anything in terms of customer satisfaction for a wide range of products.

It looks like it matches 89 Bat's 2.0 armor so there's that, I suppose lol

I canceled because of the dents, but now when I look at these new pictures, this orange peel paint is even more distracting.

Honestly, I've never seen so much whining, hand-wringing and just plain nonsense about a collectible that most people haven't even seen in the flesh. The number of people who claim to have cancelled sets my spidey sense tingling about the veracity of those "purchases". Add to that the the constant up-voting by certain users on any post which says anything negative about it, and I sense a frustrated few who can't afford it / missed out, so are determined to drag the product down.
If you don't want the model then that's fine - it's not a tax you have to pay. If you think the Hot Toys is good enough for you, then go for it.
But this "orange peel paint" and "dentgate" nonsense is just getting tedious, especially, as I say, from a swathe of people who don't have the model, and are looking at fairly low-res images and endlessly repeating themselves.

There is literary a post two pages back (post #1560) of a member who bought it, and having it in hand saying he sees this and shows his own photos of the paint problems. So, please, if somebody who bought it minds it, then your post is just false.

I don't need to own it to offer an opinion of it. You'll just have to find a way to live with that, I guess.

That being said, I still think it's a nice piece. With some issues. Like anything else.

It's not the whole vehicle afflicted with a bad paint job, just a specific area which happen to be a big area (the rear flared fenders on mine) I'm honestly not very happy about that or the response I got, but I'll deal with it. The paint is inconsistent on mine and whether its due to poor technique or rushed application or improper mixing, whatever the case, I'd say the concerns are valid.

There are definitely a bit of issues with the Jazzinc car that might not sit well with someone who is extremely "OCD'" particular, especially for double the price of the HT. There are lots of positives about it though. It really boils down to a matter of personal preference.

If someone has genuinely made the choice to cancel a preorder, then I don't get why they can't move on.
