It's not me a problem. It is a factually unethical thing to do. No reasonable person on earth thinks its appropriate to treat a test batch product like a final offering.

If you think he should give a final review of a test batch product like its a final release then you fundamentally dont understand what a test batch is. This isn't an opinion.

He has the right to review both, or none at all. It’s his purchase, if you were to ask me my opinion, I’d be pissed that I received two cars with proper issues. I don’t care if Joost fixes the gun covers, what about that paint?

Not on a test batch. In that scenario there is an agreement between manufacturer and recipient, that we are TESTING production, and if there are issues we will fix the product you received. Everyone involved is assuming during this process there may be issues. Again I have no issue with him reviewing and heavily criticizing a final release though.

All Joost was “testing” was how it held in shipping, nothing more.

So your response lacks foundation.

He wasn’t testing for issues on their behalf regarding QC, but rather issues on the delivery.

Why do you all believe he was trying to test for QC, he can do that at factory level, not by communicating with people who received said product after the fact.

It’s right there in his written communications with Mr. Mom. Honestly I don’t know why this is being debated at all and why Mr. Mom is being singled out for a situation he didn’t create. If we can all agree that reviewing a “test batch” is indeed unfair (it was actually referred to as a “review sample” before problems arose) then we need to be consistent with our outrage and call out the YouTubers who first posted reviews, not Mr. Mom who merely added his perspective after the fact…and ultimately had Jazz’s permission to do so.

When I stated my issues with InArt from the beginning when I saw production photos of the InArt Ledger in summer 2022, I was ridiculed beyond belief.
The issues were there, it just took a while for people to see them. Some still don’t and defend beyond belief. That’s their problem.

Look at how the canopy flops, look at what supports the guns, pathetic for a company that has the audacity to charge $1,800 USD per vehicle.

They didn’t do **** about the orange peel paint, you’re getting a botched paintjob whether you like it or not.


If you’re JazzInc and you’re worried about word of mouth, you send out top product, test batch or not, end of discussion.

The problem areas are not to be openly criticized but instead discussed privately with the manufacturer because the social contract and purpose is that they are actively using this batch to identify the problem areas to remedy. That is why you dont criticize the issues but can praise the things done right in a test batch. That is how they factually work.

I believe a “test batch” shouldn’t be reviewed at all. The point I’m making is Mr. Mom wasn’t the first to do so and he ultimately received permission. Those details matter significantly IMO.

On a more positive note, there are several things about the Jazz 89 I really do like, such as the bolts on the gun covers and lettering on the tires. While I’m disappointed with some of the execution, there’s no denying Jazz has raised the bar when it comes to attention to detail. And they deserve credit for it.
